How do you protect rubber trim when using a sealant?

My wifes car wears a sealant and gets treated twice to three times a year. The trim is also treated with WETS, because of that the tape doesnt stick well to it. When sealant does get on it, it typically comes off usually, but there are some spots that seem to to still stain... Any suggestions?

Trust me I get it, but you have to say some people on here make it out to be rocket science. If prep isnt right blah blah and so on. It obviously weirded me out lol

I think Im "done" with sealants... Any TRUE alternatives?

What I mean is , did I polish the surface enough to have it clean enough for bonding. Not for swirl elimination.

I think Im "done" with sealants... Any TRUE alternatives?

Understood, but doesn't he paint have to be polished Everytime before using it? Since it's a coating in a sense. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

Thanks! have you used this - one thing I like about sealants and wax is that the surface doesnt have to be SUPER good. It can have some contaminants on it and the sealants seems to still bond/last. hows the durability? This is what Im thinking Im going to have to use...

But the prep has to be spot on. Honestly I dont trust myself that much lol. Unless, again, something has changed and its NOT that hard...?

I think Im "done" with sealants... Any TRUE alternatives?

So I think Im going to say that Im done with sealants and waxes... Im tired of the staining on black plastics even though Im SUPER careful. I have dried wax spots on my truck that I dont know HOW they got there. Is there anything new out there thats worth using over sealants? Something that...

Will Poorboys Professional Polish Clean panels well?

I've done coatings a few times and they just didn't seem to work well. Plus they seem to water spot worse. Granted I used M37 sealant maybe that was the problem? I may give it another go here some spring. My other issue is when I wash I need to throw something on after a wash..I know toppers...

Will Poorboys Professional Polish Clean panels well?

Re: Will Poorboys Professional PolishClean panels well? Ehh I feel as if they water spot easier than sealants. But maybe I'll think about it some spring. What coatings are the easiest to use now?

Will Poorboys Professional Polish Clean panels well?

Guz, it's just that when I install it, I have my doubts that I did it correctly. Even though I'm pretty sure I did, there is always a bit in my head that I did it right

Will Poorboys Professional Polish Clean panels well?

I did ceramic a while back. I just felt like there was a level of uncertainty for me. Like the paint has to be ultra clean for the bond. When I wash it, I like to use something on the paint afterwards, BSD, Beadmaker, Aquawax etc. And over time it doesn't feel right to not put something on the...

Will Poorboys Professional Polish Clean panels well?

Thanks. I for some reasons always have a problem with the hood. I don't know why .. but it seems to fail there prematurely. Maybe it's just loaded with pollen and dirt from sitting outside? I don't drive it much just to work maybe a day or two and then on the weekend. So if it rains it sits in...
