Nah, it was old school. Not ceramic prep. Perhaps a Griots product. The vid explained how the surface residue aided bonding. BTW, my old chemistry prof became a meth dealer. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but I’m going to find that vid/product if it’s the last thing I ever do!

It was a review of a specific paint cleaner or polish (No not DG 601). Maybe P21S paint cleaner??? Damm age related senescence memory loss. I’m going to find that vid now. My life has purpose!

Could have swore I read somewhere on AG that a little polish residue actually aids in bonding. Of course I can’t find the reference now.

I don’t actually remove all of the polish with an LSP. Rather, I don’t strive to buff to perfection as I immediately apply a wax or sealant with a small amount of polish residue still remaining and use the wax or sealant to finish.

Back on topic. Anyone try the new QD yet? Opinions?

The CRV is new. I was thinking more of a protective product than a one to restore.

I have a white vehicle and am not overly concerned about corrections or marring ... just want it bright and shiny. Also I'm old and lazy DG 501 with Aquawax and now P&S Beadmaker does fine by me :)

I currently use DG 501 but am considering giving the new Meg's 3 in 1 a try :)

I believe it has more cut than D 166

Wondering how it compares to DG 501 as a one step. Specifically in terms of paint cleaning.
