On my Jeep I found that Meguirs Compound (OTC) was easier to remove then the M105. I am not sure why as they are supposed to be the same product.

Are you doing the interior? Whats the condition of the car? Could you fix the paint in one pass? I would leave the wax part out. Seal it and let it cure. Tell him to bring the car back to you in a month and you will do a quick detail and wax. Since you are just starting out...IMO I would...

I did it on my Bonnet of my old Jeep and it was fine just use plenty of water. Do a small inconspicuous spot first to see how it comes out. I would say 2000 to 2500 to 3000. Compound out using DA the polish. It is really easy to get out those scratches with a DA. Check out the multiple...

Yes ironX first then clay but if I were to do it again I would probably wash the car after ironX again to try and remove some of that smell.

yeah I was wondering about after the coating...possibly putting a layer of wax on it. I guess you have to wait a while before applying anything on top of the coating. How long is that coating supposed to last?

So you went right from Polishing to coating? No sealant or wax applied?

Yeah we finished up the car fully this past saturday. Full covered in CG Butter wax. Paint feels fantastic after clay, polish, seal and wax. I still see swirls here and there but it didnt feel like it was worth it right now. Maybe before winter I will go over some of the trouble spots again...

Orange Peel is from the Clearcoat not laying flat or the paint not laying flat...or both?

it is not like you are giving up some premier position at Google. Take it and get a ton of experience. Worse comes to worse you could probably get your job back at bestbuy if things fall apart. Taxes...talk to an accountant.
