    Long time reader, first post

That's how I got the confidence to start. My 2003 Pontiac looked better than most newer cars so I thought I could help these people out!

    Pricing Help

:iagree: Raising your prices a little helps build credibility and trust. If you are on Autogeek, you are probably already more educated than most people are on detailing and therefore can charge more for the knowledge and know how you have. I think you should offer more than just a basic...

    Pricing Help

I can relate to you. I started my business when I was 16 and I charged about $50 for a basic wash and wax. The reason you can charge that little is because you have to earn peoples respect first and build your credibility. Once you start doing more cars you will get more experience and get...

    Long time reader, first post

Hey guys, I am a part time detailer and a full time college student here in Central Arkansas. I have had a passion for detailing and keeping my car clean since I first got it when I turned 16. In the 10th grade I figured I would turn my hobby into a part time job. Armed with my parents...

    Where to start?

PC 7424 is a good tool for a great price. I like the CCS pads but you need multiple pads. I recommend M105 and M205 for compounding and polishing. Don't forget to seal it or coat it afterwards! Post pictures when you complete it!

    D156 as drying agent

So you use a 16X16 to dry with the D156 and the waffle weave to clean up the streaks? I was thinking opposite. Use the waffle weave to dry with the D156 and 16X16 to clean up streaks. I just ordered my first waffle weave, haha. Been using a larger microfiber towel but I hear the waffle...

    D156 as drying agent

I like to go over the glass to help maintain the sealant I apply to it as well. Water beads right off the windshield with zero streaks.

    Post up your business card

I looked into plastic business cards or flyers and nobody I could find locally would do them. When I did some research I found a company out of state that printed and cut them but the rate was sky high. For 500 cards it was like $500 plus shipping. I couldn't justify $1 per card but the...

    A goodbye to winter wash

Is the 4HP enough for you to dry with? Want the master blaster's 8HP but I cant justify the price.

HHR Panel for Mobile Detailing unit?

How do you like the Hydro 2? I have considered this and the Permanon Platinum spray and rinse sealants but the price turned me off. The ease of use looks too good to be true and I was skeptical of the results compared to a traditional sealant. Looks good on those cars though! So, is it...

HHR Panel for Mobile Detailing unit?

I have considered the rinseless wash but I would assume I need to make a heavy investment in more microfibers which can be a little pricey. How many do you need to get through one day of one to a few cars? And you just wash them at the end of every day? Also, do you just use regular wash...

HHR Panel for Mobile Detailing unit?

Thanks for the inspiration! I am a full time college student living with parents to save money, have about a year left. I am detailing part time during school and full time during holiday breaks and during the summer. Haven't gotten too serious about it yet, just earning a little extra money...

Can i use a nanoskin sponge like this?

I wash and rinse the car and then use a fine grade sponge and a little diluted waterless wash as lube and do sections of the car followed with a rise. I use the medium grade sponge for more stubborn things like light tar and bugs. MUCH faster than claying. Just have to be careful, if you don't...
