Speed recommendations Makita PO6000C or 5000C using 3M Polish and Pads

As a newbie, I was hoping for some advice using 2 of the 3M Products. my difficulty is translating their recomended speeds on a Rotary to the speed on My Makita PO6000C 6” pads. 1. The 3M Perfect it III Ultra Fine Plus Polish - Yellow and 3M Yellow Pad 3M Data Sheet says 1,500 to 2,000 rpm but...

Which is less agressive Megaiures Clay Kit or Bilt Hamber Soft?

Thanks, good to know BHs not more agressive. I like the fact that Meguairs says their clay is non abraisive and it does leave the paint glassy, shiny :) . Would you say its easier if I used that Detailers spray (that came with the Meguaies clay) when I use the Bilt Hamber Soft? Some reccomend...

Looking to move from gas to electric power washer…suggestions?

I thought the US versions just upped the Amps. I find the Pro Karcher versions very different to the Domestic ones, solid brass heads etc. A different league, as is the price. Thankfully we have a couple of big shippers to the contruction industry so the price difference is tiny. What you have...

Review: Makita PO5000C Orbital Polisher - Gear-driven and Free Spinning - Mike Phillips

What make and size (3””) is that smaller backing plate and where did you get it from? Did you use the std. Makita M8 x 14mm bolt to lock it up?

Looking to move from gas to electric power washer…suggestions?

I just replaced my 26 year old Pro Karcher electric with another one, the Pro HD range is nothing like their rubbish plastic domestic ones. 130 Bar (1900psi) and 620 L per hour, and very very quiet. Its excellent and has a fabulous snow foam lance, and the new easylock connectors are ace...

Which is less agressive Megaiures Clay Kit or Bilt Hamber Soft?

When you said “If you go with Meguiars you would go up to the proffessional aggressive or mild clay to compare it to BH.“ are you saying the Bilt Hamber “Soft” clay is more agressive than the Meguairs Claybar kit clay ( very white bar) ?

Cleaning bird poop... Full wash or QD?

I just wet a thick soft kitchen paper towel and plonk it on. So its totally soft and then repeat. And sort of slide/ scoop it off when its totally runny. Just avoid any scrubbing action If its bad then I admit I hose it off , rinse with filtered water and blow dry it ... using a dedicated...

    Backup camera lens coating?

I just washed mine with AG body shampoo, blow dried, and wiped with a very little bit of Collonite 476S and ever so gently hand buffed (well wiped off gently) with a super soft deep pile micro fibre. Works perfectly for 6 months, no distortion etc. No idea if its good for your car but seems...

    Water spot preventer

We live in an incredibly hard water area, water from the tap looks like incredibly diluted milk. We always drink filtered water. You foam lance would dilute it so much there would be no effect. My best defence is :- Powerwash car normally Snowfoam it Powerwash it off. Use filtered water in...

Which is less agressive Megaiures Clay Kit or Bilt Hamber Soft?

Just wondered if anyone knows which is the least aggressive on clear coat? I previously used Meguaires Clay kit. Very happy with it except the high price. I was told Bilt Hamber was just as good But does it cause more marring or is it more agressive , naturally I dont want that. If its just...

What is the softest, least agressive 6” finishing pad to Apply Collinite 476S Wax?

Thanks so much Its a minefield with these pads and every one using different colours . Amazed they dont standardise colours with cut. Even your gloss pad looks orange to me, yet it says gloss pad. And the one on the web I found looks white?

What is the softest, least agressive 6” finishing pad to Apply Collinite 476S Wax?

Hoping to use my Makita PO 6000C DA to spread on the wax on a regular basis. So to preserve the clear coat, I definitely want the softest most gentle Pad with no cut. I could use the 3M Ultrafina Blue pad #50388 Ideally would like something as soft (least aggressive) or softer, and not blue...

Is this Ring Inspection light as good as proper swirl finder lights?

Very jealous of your choices in the USA .. how come only the Chinese seems to be able to freight stuff cheaply into the UK? personally I would much rather buy American as long as you went Metric lol!

As a newbie polisher could I get away with just having the Makita PO6000C 6” pad.

Thanks that was pretty much my envisaged cleaning route. But if the Flex mini backing pad works the I may just get by using it on the Makita. I saw those “stalling” issues comments. What I find odd is everyones goal seems to be , that it must spin .... so why not then just put it in forced...

As a newbie polisher could I get away with just having the Makita PO6000C 6” pad.

Thanks I found a set, and could use my right angle mini drill. Mike very kindly found out for me that the Flex mini backing pad fits. So I will try that and hope the Makita is not too big. If it is I could try that set, with the mini drill. Just a bit worried as its been used on some wood beams...
