Low boiling point naphtha will strip most sealants. I know some car manafactures use it before applying emblems. It's in the Wurth clean solve along with xylene. It may be what smells like gas in the panel wipe.

I would buy small plastic bottles instead. Aluminum reacts with numerous chemicals over time. Sodium hydroxide will dissolve the aluminum slowly and is found in many degreasers. Chlorine products will react with the bottles. The by product is hydrogen gas.

If you're washing out of the sun I foam the car, let it dwell to let the foam lift particles, rinse it off, foam again, wash with 2 bucket method, rinse, flood rinse, spray on aquawax or similar product each panel as I'm drying. I wash the wheels and tires first.
