    Upcoming Sea Ray 340 Correction

It was a 1991 Sea Ray 400 Express Cruiser. It had the optional 502's. Nice boat, it loved to suck down gas though.

    Upcoming Sea Ray 340 Correction

Yeah I'm thinking about 4 days on the sanding and rotary work. Then another 2 days on all of the vinyl, glass, canvas, metal, and engine compartment.

    Upcoming Sea Ray 340 Correction

So I have the Sea Ray pulled out of the water and in dry dock to inspect. It's going to be pressure washed and the bottom is being repainted. The propellers and rudders are getting refinished as well. I'll start the correction process in a little over a week. It's a 2001 Sea Ray 340...

    Megs UC then Duragloss 601/105?

It all depends on your paint. Some car paints will be LSP ready after just UC. Others will need a finishing polish first. Do a test spot with just the UC, If it has any micro scratches or haze to it then add the polish. Always do a test spot if you can. It helps a lot with the trial and error.

    My Perfect Tire Cleaner

Bleche black has the same chemicals in it that 101 has. If you use 101 at a 1:1 ratio or full strength it is just as strong, if not stronger. Bleche white has some IPA added to it.

    30 year old boat oxidation.

I'm doing a full correction on a sea ray 340 next week. I'll have some before shots up later tonight in a dedicated thread. I'm wet sanding certain parts of the boat that are severely oxidized before using the rotary with a wool pad and compound. I'll finish up with a polish to remove haze and...

    need a good tire cleaner

As long as you're not using it weekly on your tires you'll be fine. Use it every few washes to remove the grime and buildup. In between just scrub them well.

Megs APC works fine straight on the tires. Ihaveacamaro posted a video about using the Megs for tire cleaning yesterday I believe.

    My Perfect Tire Cleaner

This is probably caused by the 2-butoxyethanol in the 101. If I'm working with it for too long it does the same thing to me.

    My Perfect Tire Cleaner

The 101 is the best way to clean tires for sure. The first time I used it undiluted, the foam turned super brown even after 2 applications. It scared me because I thought it was too strong and that it was rapidly drying out the rubber and pulling the antiozonator out to the surface. After the...
