3D Pyramid Sticker on this Mercedes-Benz - Anyone know what this is?

And that link didn't work. Here's the write up from wikipedia. "The Dragon's Eye is an ancient Germanic symbol as collected by Rudolf Koch. The Dragon's Eye is an isosceles triangle pointing downward with a "Y" in the middle connecting the three points of the triangle together. According to Carl...

    Undercarriage washing

I would suggest pressure washing first to remove the heaviest caked on stuff and then let most of the water run off and then applying the cleaner. I think simple green is a good idea, I would also suggest purple power. After that has has some time to sit I would pressure wash it all off.

WOW! First month of 2014 was amazing!! Feeling Blessed!

great job! that's one heck of a month! The Ferrari F430 Scuderia was only made for 2008 and 2009 with less than the 90 allocated models being filled in 2009. chances are it's a 2008.

First off, I would like to thank everyone for putting so much care and effort into both detailing and this forum! This is a great place and I think so many of us have benefited from the knowledge shared on this site. Which is why I would like to ask people to stop using abbreviations for car...

    Headlight Restoration Problem

500 grit! wow. Do you have any pictures? You probably know this but you need to be careful using a heavy grit sandpaper because you are removing the thin UV coating on the headlight. I usually stick with 1,000 grit sandpaper. It's possible that the haze you're seeing is on the inside of the...

    Help

I would recommend Griot's Garage 6in. It has plenty of torque! Most 3in models don't have enough torque to really get the job done. A random orbital will be easy for you to learn with too.

    Help and Opinions Needed

Thanks for the help guys! I hadn't planned on doing anything myself but was just trying to get a sense of what probably happened/caused the problem. They all seem to be located on the roof and passenger side of the car. I assume that the metal wasn't prepped correctly before painting and caused...

    Help and Opinions Needed

Hey guys! I was detailing a 2013 Ford Focus today that has 4,500 miles and was purchased new back in September. It seemed to have what I first thought were a significant amount of chips, then I found what I believe is a fisheye. When I took a longer look at the "chips" I noticed that several of...

Why the hype about water beading?

Mike, Thanks so much for your input! If you have listened to Larry and Jason's podcast they talk about how different people define protection in different ways. Mike discussed how the masses generally define protection as water beading. in my humble opinion I think that the reason so many...

    Water sheeting

He is far from a god lol. He actually learned a lot from Mike and seems to respect him a great deal. I believe Larry is speaking at this years detailer's mobile tech. The interesting stuff was from Jason Rose, not Larry. The podcasts are amazing because Larry goes into the chemical structure...

    Water sheeting

(I don't think this breaks any forum rules) Has anyone listened to Larry at ammo's podcast Drive and Protect? He just did two podcasts with Jason Rose from Meguiar's and they had some really interesting stuff to say about different materials ability to "sheet" or "bead" water.
