    klasse AIO questions

What Joe said. Think of it as a carnauba stripper and final cleanser before LSP. Be careful to use apply very thinly, less is better than more as long as it kisses the suface. Don't expect it to remove or diminish swirls; it may even make them more noticeable. Consider a dedicated glaze with...

    how do you do that?

My first attempt took five days. This included claying, polishing, Klasse AIO and three applications of SG with curing time as well as all the trim details (bumper guards, tires & wheels, air dam, chrome et cetera) before two coats of carnauba paste by hand. It was my initiation with the PC so I...

    plastic care

303, Klasse Leather/Vinyl.., or 3M vinyl restorer. Of these, which provides best protection? Which is most durable? Is it better to use two dedicated products or will a good combo formula actually work? Have tried many OTC goops, but still can't get the dash, seats and interior trim as clean and...

    Anyone use Soft Scrub?

It's under the sink. Don't think I'll need it on chrome, but I'll keep it in mind for others. Notice he used the regular Soft Scrub with the yellow cap. Any experience with the bleach version in the green cap?

    Tire cleaning opinions... products used?

Yeah, about that or even less. I use a wee dram per bucket; just rinse well after and dress as soon as dry. I careflly clean and lay up the snow tires every season. They barely need a wipe to remove dust in the fall.

Anyone else here use greatly diluted Murphy's Oil Soap with a cheap nylon sponge? Works great for me.

Turtle Wax Premium Tire Gel Review

Another vote for Meg's Endurance here, but am willing to try just about anything once. Had some bad experiences with AA. Is it a new formula?

How do you find a good body shop....

Dealerships? In Brooklyn? Fugheddaboutit. Don't know what section of Bklyn you're in, but this way they're all pretty much bilingual. Have had dealings with several, and am pretty sure which will repaint my charriot next year. Exotic Auto Boutique off Third Ave. is excellent. Junior started with...

Is clay use something a beginner can do?

And don't be bashful with the MF. Frequent wipes with a clean towel help reveal the improvement. Step back every so often after finishing a section just to appreciate its effectiveness. As with polish, start with the least abrasive and work up as necessary or do it again later. Before discarding...

Best MF shampoo - DG, micro-restore or Pinnacle?

I like the Pinnacle, but have used the perfume & dye free liquid with no softener and could not tell a difference. Always dry briefly on delicate, then air. We have a compact HE Malber unit, and occasionally use Ecover (natural ingredients) delicate wash detergent. Still, some spots remain...

    Transformers

Drove by a bunch of transformers the other night smoking outside a bar in the West Village around Perry Street. Never played with any, though. Is it fun?

    New sedans for under $22,000?

Ditto on the depreciation. Two other very important factors: insurance and break-in. Some models will cost less to cover, more important when considered with primary driver's history, age, and residence. Also, if he chooses a new car, be sure to supervise the engine break-in. Don't listen to the...

    845 paste

Drove around for a month with all the necessary supplies in my trunk waiting for a chance to dress the car in her winter coat. So I pulled up to the machine, washed, dried and then used the prewax cleaner. As I go to use the Collinite I am grateful at its ease of application. Then I noticed that...

    Ouch !!@#%!##

PhaRo is correct regarding its presentration and odds. Still, better safe than sorry, and you won't have to worry about a booster for a few years if you get one now. Salt water treatment is mostly recommended for topical fungus e.g. poison oak and such. Above all, keep wounds as clean as possible.

    What the Italian Police drive!!

With liberal/draconian asset forfeiture laws it is only a matter of time until every county in any state can drive whatever they desire. Of course, that's after the senior bureaucrats get their pick. BTW, I've seen several new Dodges in NYPD colors lately. Good choice. Does this mean the Police...

    Target Drying Towels?

Nuke, just buy the best you can afford, and use them as frequently you can. Using lesser non-boutique items will actually help you apply the better stuff as it comes to you. The key is modifying your technique. Blot vs. swirl, dilution ratios, pad pressure and duration, et cetera. A few premium...

What sealant/wax is currently on your car?

Klasse SG (3 coats) topped with Souveran. Will replace the wax with 845 when my order arrives. Think I'll leave it at that until a spring detail. MikeyC, why top the Collinite with a Souveran topper? Being belt and suspenders myself I'm all for redundency, but isn't functionality maxed out after...
