    Best Waterless Wash?

Just an update: I've used the UWW+ a few times now and I have to say its fantastic! Seems to have more emulsification / cleaning power than the CG's Ecosmart RU, and it buffs off really easy to a high gloss and super slick feel. Haven't tried the Pinnacle yet, so the Ultima is my new favorite...

    Why...

Although I've decided to switch away from this waterless wash, I must admit this video is certainly the opposite of what you speak: Waterless Washing HEAVY DIRT & ROAD GRIME - Chemical Guys ECOSMART Audi Q7 DIRTY - YouTube

    I'm a believer!!!

After some research on wet-look tire dressings that don't sling, I decided to buy PERL by CarPro. Used it for the first time today and....WOW. After a few minutes I touched it with my finger because I couldn't believe how glossy it was and it was 100% DRY to the touch. If this stuff doesn't...

That "Grabby" feel - Thin vs Thick MF pads on Dual Action Polishers

Interesting. I saw a video from Adam's Polishes were there were demonstrating their MF pads on a PC 7424XP and they seemed pretty thick.

    Post Your Detailing Collection

I just bought the regular sized version of the 36" Platinum. It came damaged so had to return it and order another one. But the customer service was awesome and the return was seamless. Just hope the new one comes in good condition!

Compound and then Wax (no polish)?

Black is the least forgiving color, but it would also depend on the hardness/softness of the paint on the car you are working on. The simplest answer is just to check your work after the compounding stage with proper lighting. If there is any micro-marring or hazing from the compounding...

Clear coat problem or something else?

:iagree: Its rusty water from the parking garage. My wife's vehicle gets the exact same thing from parking in the parking garage at her work. It's very hard to remove with a normal wash, even with a good coat of wax or sealant on the car. It will come off with a medium grade clay. Just...

PC7424 XP What am i doing wrong???

Yes, you're good to go. If you were using bigger pads like 6"-7.5", you'd probably want to switch to the bigger counterweight.

Whats your favorite chain store Car Wash/Shampoo?

DG901 seems to be the consensus here, but if you can't find it OTC in your area, I agree with the above. I've used the TW Ice also and it does have good suds and seems to have VERY good "lubricity" (to steal a term from Larry Kosilla).

PC7424 XP What am i doing wrong???

Badabing: I feel your pain. I have a Harley Night train that I have used the PCXP on as well. The tank is very challenging, because as others have mentioned, it's basically one big curved panel. Rest assured that with more practice and patience, you'll be fine. It's way harder than...

Swirls are gone, how to deal with the deeper stuff?

Get yourself a bottle of Menzerna FG400 to try out. You'll be amazed at the results.

    Compound and paint combos

I've used FG400 with only foam pads so far, but I have used it on different types of foam: CG Hex-Logic & LC Hydrotech pads. Worked awesome with both on Mercedes paint.

FG400 is the KING for harder clear coats.
