    question about FG400

Awesome. I have used FG400 with foam pads (both LC Hydrotech and CG Hex Logic) with great success on my ceramiclear Mercedes, but have been eager to try it with the CG Black Optics microfiber pads I recently acquired. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

For those of you using FG400 with microfiber pads, are any of you using it on the PC 7424XP?

    Glaze before sealant/wax-definitive answer

Glaze first, then sealant or wax. Or even all three if desired, but always in this order: 1. Glaze 2. Sealant 3. Wax

Always clean microfiber before first use???

I just got some new microfiber towels that came today. Just curious...As a rule, do you always wash new towels before first use? Or do you just inspect them and use them right out of the bag?

    Need more cut.

Here are some other tips that helped me: -Work in smaller sections when doing heavy correction. If you are currently working a 2'X2' section, knock it down to around 16"X16". -Make sure you are using enough downward pressure, enough to make your backing plate spin slowly, but not stop...

    Need more cut.

I happen to be the author of Post #19, and yes, Mercedes ceramiclear is indeed that hard. FG400...ALL..DAY..LONG! I have never tried FG500, but from what I've read, FG400 has some pretty significant improvements. Also, don't automatically discount the Cyan Hydrotech as having "less cut."...

    Detail Advice

I am planning on detailing my Dad's 2003 Mitsubishi Montero soon. He takes good care of it and it has very low miles, so the paint is in pretty good condition. It's somewhat of a miracle, considering that he's pretty old school when it comes to washing/drying his car, as I had to explain to...

S550 Ceramiclear Resto! Hardest Paint in the World

94civicEX: Not sure if you already have your ride figured out or not, but I also only have a PC 7424XP and also have a MB GLK350 (2011). I have had great correction success with Menzerna FG400 on both Lake Country Hydrotech 5.5" foam pads (Cyan) and CG Hex-Logic 5.5" foam pads (orange). For...

    MF Pads Question

Yes. Before I started I tried researching it. I read that ceramic clears were denoted with a "C" before the paint code. However, when I checked my paint code on the inside of my door there was no C, just a 3-digit code. Then I read that it could still be ceramic clear without the C in the...

    MF Pads Question

Hey guys, I have a question about MF pads. I have recently had VERY good success on my vehicle (2011 Mercedes-Benz GLK 350) with Menzerna FG400 for the major correction step. I have only used it on foam pads though, both LC Hydrotech (5.5" Cyan) and CG Hex Logic (5.5" Orange) using my PC...

    Best Waterless Wash?

Maybe I shouldn't automatically shy away from the WWs with Carnuba in them just because of the streaking issues I've had with Ecosmart. I may just get a bottle of each concentrate (Pinnacle & Ultima) and see which one I like better. I'm sure they are both good enough that I will use both of...
