Can you use a merino wool wash mitt with a rinseless wash or is it better to use it with soapy wash

Has anyone tried the Aussie Merino wool wash mitt with a rinseless wash. I'm not sure if it will absorb all the water in the bucket since I'm only working with a couple gallons of water.
