    Tuxedo Black Paint maintenance seal/wax/wash

Is it an ST? My car is also Tuxedo Black. I was on a CG kick and after polishing used Blacklight then Jetseal topped with Black Wax. The car turned out great.

    Just like a newborn...I'm crying out loud...newbie!

Once you apply wax with a machine you won't want to do it by hand.

    Best towels for rinseless wash

After a bit of research I think I'll try a sponge for washing. Anyone used the Lake Country Foam Car Wash Sponge? That and a few of the buff and shine towels and I should be set. Wonder when the next AG sale will be :).

    Best towels for rinseless wash

What is the advantage of the sponge over a MF wash mitt/towels? I thought sponges in general were a no no to use on car paint.

    Best towels for rinseless wash

With winter right around the corner I'm getting ready to do my first rinseless wash. I've got plenty of wash solution options, ONR, Pinnacle Rinseless Wash and GDIUDJ, but not sure about the best towel to use. I have some Detail Master Pro Eagle Edgeless plush towels but wondering if there is...

Do any of you guys who do detailing for work use a clear coat meter / gauge?

Same here. I got a cheap ( $150) PTG and tried it on my car and glad I did. For whatever reason the paint on the hatch is about 1mil thinner so I know not to be to aggressive.

How many of your neighbors are into car detailing

Same here :). One neighbor who I talk to once in a while, (usually in his driveway) stopped over when I was washing the car and couldn't believe all the chemicals and towel I had just for cleaning my car :D. He has an odd collection of vehicles, a Jeep, Gold Wing trike, Yamaha V Max, HD touring...

How many of your neighbors are into car detailing

This , I can just imagine my neighbors saying to themselves "sounds like he's washing his car again" :). I've had a few neighbors ask about detailing but they don't have an interest in putting in the time.

    LSP applied with 7424

I recently applied wax for the first time with a DA and agree it worked great! Even coverage and used less product. I don't see myself doing it by hand anymore. The only bad thing I've read is the pads can be a pain to clean. I used a LC blue finishing pad.

    New GG HD 6" Accessories?

I'm like the others, use the machine to apply but remove by hand. I know Mike Phillips made a video where they removed wax with a bonnet Bonnets are fabric pad covers used to buff off waxes and polishes with your polisher or buffer. microfiber bonnet, micro fiber bonnet, terry cloth. Are you...

my brand new GG 6" orbiter polisher is already dead

:iagree: I had a tuff time deciding between the PC and GG. Based on what I read the Griots was was a little more powerful and the guys that had them seemed to like them, BUT there was the failure rate which seemed to be better with the 3rd gen machines. The Griots failed after only about 10...

DIY LED Work Light (much better than halogen!)

Yeah I have the same problem. The LED bulbs are pretty heavy. I really thought I was going to strip out the threads I was putting so much pressure tightening them up. Probably should order another one for a back up.
