    Is Expensive MF Cleaners Needed?

I have used All free and Clear and a couple mf specific cleaners and the towels came out the same.. I was wondering why most regular detergents are thick like syrup and mf detergents are watery. There must be some difference .

    Cold weather rinseless washing

The problem is the water doesn't stay warm very long. I washed my car in a heated space and started with warm wash (WGU) and rinse water. The outside temp was about 25* so that's what the paint temp was when I started. Started on the roof and had a bit of a streaking issue but as the paint...

    Cold weather rinseless washing

40* is probably my limit. Fortunately I have access to a heated space and even then still have some streaking issues until the car warms up.

    Leather Help?

That looks like a miss match piece of leather. Has it always been darker than the rest of the wheel? Good luck with the dealer.

    Leather Help?

Yep, Good old Darren :xyxthumbs:. If there is any chance it's a factory defect and covered under warranty it might be worth a trip to the dealer before going aggressive.

    Leather Help?

There is a recent you tube video out comparing a couple of leather cleaners and 4 or 5 APCs. The gist of the video was both the leather cleaners did a poor job of cleaning leather that was actually dirty. He got his best results with Meguiars APC and 3D Citrus Degreaser. May be a case of...

    How to remove existing wax?

I would order a 5" backing plate to go with your 5 1/4" pads. I prefer using 5" pads with a DA. Easier to work with. UC will remove the wax, but at minimum you should wash and clay first. You may want to consider an Iron X type product depending on the paint condition. How old is the car? What...

Washing a car where there's water restrictions

UWW is an excellent rinseless wash. I always pre spray before rinseless washing. It serves the same purpose as using a foam gun, loosen dirt and lubricate before washing. Was Mike going to correct the paint after washing? If so he may not have been worried about any minor marring knowing it...

Coated my tires today and WOW,

I've come to realize my summer tires, Goodyear F1s, don't like dressing/coatings. I used the TW on them last summer and while they looked good I can't say I was blown away. Last weekend I decided to try it on my winter tires, Blizzaks and was really pleased with the result. This is the third...

Review and How-To: Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash

I'm a big fan of UWW+ as a rinseless wash and just tried WU this past weekend. I thought they were very similar as far as washing, drying and slickness. The WU may dry off just a slight bit easier. I'm definitely thinking about switching over when I use up the rest of my UWW+. Same results but a...

You wouldn't believe it was only washed 4 times....

Wow, that car was a mess. Nice job! I wonder why dealerships don't at least go with a touchless set up. Cost?

Got my order, got my surprise gift

I got the Megs kit also. My order wasn't that big and would have been happy if all I got was the towel. Thanks AG! I already have M105 and M205. How does the ScratchX, Ultimate Polish and Compound compare?

How deep can a Scratch be do buff out?

That really stinks. I would go the touch up paint route. That scratch looks pretty deep and even if you were able to remove it you may have to remove a lot of clear coat to do it. Not something I'd want to do on a new car.

How do you clean tires and rims when doing a rinseless wash

If you are doing a 2 bucket rinseless just pour the leftover wash (after doing the paint) into your wheel bucket. Clean the wheels like normal and dry.
