    Cquartz UK holograms

I thought I read to wipe off rather gently as to not disturb the coating's bonding. I used a new suede every time I applied. I applied to an eighth of the hood at a time making sure to use all 8 sides of the towel to buff off. Pressure sounds like it could work for my situation because what I...

    Cquartz UK holograms

I'm just frustrated because 1. It costs 50 bucks plus the time to apply, remove, reapply blah blah blah, 2. Because it really does everything it should except look perfect in the sun and 3. Because it seems like so many people have success with it in similar situations to mine and I somehow...

    Cquartz UK holograms

I let it sit for as long as it took me to set the applicator down and pick up the suede towel. I only got UK because I figured it'd be easier to apply. I made the mistake of not accounting for it being summer. Maybe I'll try something else or re try the coating when it's cooler

    Cquartz UK holograms

I've applied Cquartz UK to the hood of my black VW and I've wiped it down numerous times with eraser, checked the paint in full sun, then applied. I used the suede applicator and only did a small 2x2 section at a time. It's about 75 degrees and ~30 humidity i would guess. When I pull it back out...

Shine supply flat top and classic cut/polish

I've used flat top, classic cut, and classic polish and have had only great results with them as far as cut and finish. Like those who've used them have said, even the most aggressive Flat Top can finish LSP ready on most finishes. And to answer my own question in my OP, they don't really...

Shine supply flat top and classic cut/polish

I haven't seen much on these products as far as reviews. Just wondering if anybody has experience with these products and if so, do they have a lot of polishing oils in them? Thanks

VIDEO Not knowing you are terrible and bragging about how good you are on TV

I agree, the wash mitt on the inside was shocking. He seemed to like everything "nice and shiny"

Quickest method of paint correction for production work.

sadly, this is more common than one would like to imagine. I do some work for a company that works directly through a high volume new/used dealership and despite being asked to do quite a bit of business, the cars are trashed either from washing with brushes and water in a 55 gallon trash can...

    Most durable winter sealant?

+1 On Sonax Polymer Netshield. I personally dont think application is difficult like some may say. It's not the easiest to apply like WGDGPS but it's certainly easier than Collinite 845. Having a thick foam applicator is a must and using the grippy-ness to your advantage. Apply to half a...

    Best car shampoo GO!

I've always used CG wash and gloss but it separates too much and, at least for me, didn't seem to ever suds right. With the recent BOGO on Citrus Wash Clear, I got two gallons of that. After the first few washes with it, I already love it. It suds up like crazy, it has a ton of lubricity...

Production detailers you need a tornador!!!

Not to bring up this old thread for no reason but what does "I'm not Japanese but I know it's a big number" have to do with anything? Oh, and I was searching an issue I'm having with my tornador and this came up

Carpet and Seat Cleaning By Hand

Mother's makes a great stiff bristled nylon brush that I use often to scrub carpets and seats. Just be careful as it's rather aggressive. For leather and vinyl that is not too dirty, I use a wheel woolie boars hair brush and just work APC into the seat and then wipe off.

    I swear this is true

I saw a "detailer" using steel wool to remove bugs from a painted plastic bumper. I've seen a dealership use a 55 gallon garbage can filled with soap and water used as the community wash bucket. Then I saw a girl scrub her dirty black car with a brush before spraying it off. I offered to help...

    Pro clip

I have had 2 proclips in my 2013 jetta and both clipped onto a little lip on the center console. I've looked at the sticky type and the vent type but I would rather not cause permanent damage or block a valuable air vent. Sent from my SM-G900V using AG Online

    what part of your car...

My rear bumper/trunk area and my front lower lip on my Mk6 Jetta. Someone bumped into the rear number leaving a perfect 2mm circle hole in it and ever since then, I just don't care to take the extra precautions on it. I polished and coated my trunk/bumper once, license plate off and...

DP paint coating cure time question and ONR

After applying the paint coating about 24 hours ago, I know it is ok to get the surface wet but what about using ONR? I've read somewhere that someone used ONR over a coating and had some pretty dismal results. So I'm just wondering, can I use ONR safely over my 24 hour old DP paint coating?
