Need help with inside glass cleaning

Agreeing with all that's been said, I use a sparse amount of product and only wipe in one direction with the first towel and then buff off with a second dry towel in all directions.

    DP Paint Coating Question

I've read the Poor Beading From DP paint coating thread and it was stated that a member applied 2 coats 24 hours apart. If the paint is prepped properly with the DP coating Prep Polish and the coating is applied, left for 24-48 hours in the elements (water and pollen), not washed or touched at...

    Black Paint Correction tips

Test spots are definitely the most important step in correction. I just did 2 doors of a 2014 black Toyota Camry and did 4 section passes at 6 with adequate pressure and 2 final passes at speed 5 with lighter pressure with an Orange CCS flat/M205. Turned out nearly perfect.

    Black Paint Correction tips

We all know that working with black paint, whether soft or hard CC, is the most patience testing, scrutinizing, pain staking process. I've done many black cars from full correction to an AIO. I've noticed that, say I have a gloss non metallic black Toyota Rav 4, if I use a rather light combo...

Are dedicated wheel sealants worth the time/money

I used DP Paint coating on my painted wheels and they're holding up equally. I figured that "heat stamina" would be the difference but so far, I don't see one.

    AirDry .. what to use?

Many people use an electric leaf blower to blow dry a well maintained vehicle. Just make sure it is dedicated solely to this purpose as blowing any sort of particles at a high rate of speed will either force contaminants at the paint and make for scratches if wiped afterward or even worse...

CarPro PERL on Headlight Lenses and other clear plastics

Can CarPro PERL be used successfully on clear plastics such as plastic headlight lenses and reflectors without hindering any reflective abilities of said lenses?

    Problem with DP paint coatin

I go straight from the prep polish to the coating as that is what it is made for. As for beading being weak, agreeing with an above statement about it being anybody's guess, there are many, many variables. I know that pollen and that fine mist tree sap that's going around this time of year...

Why is optimum spray wax streaking?

This would make sense as I've only used OCW as a "refresher" over my DP coating thus far and it always seems to streak. Even more when it's warm but even when the panel is cool, it still streaks a little.

    Coating Road Rash

I have the same deal on my hood as I drive ~30k a year. If they're bad, I'd try to fill them properly but otherwise, I just coated my car with DP coating and hope that keeps them from worsening.

Why is optimum spray wax streaking?

I noticed streaks if the panel is even remotely warm. Definitely if used in direct sunlight.

    Vw rugs are terrible!!

Actually though, despite this older VW being so terrible, my 2013 Jetta's carpet is significantly better.

    Vw rugs are terrible!!

I just did a 2001 Jetta with black on black interior. Cloth seats. One of the dirtiest cars I've ever dealt with. I know exactly what you guys are talking about when you say the carpet is horrendous to get clean. I used a stuff bristle brush and my shop vac. I'd brush all directions, vacuum...

    Windshield Protection

To be honest, I've tried using various waxes/sealants/coatings on my windshield including but not limited to: Klasse AIO/HGSG Collinite 845 DP paint coating Carpro Flyby 30 Wolfgang DGPS And I've come to the conclusion that a well clayed, thoroughly deep cleaned, polished with just a regular...

Is it better not to wash your car every week? (Your Thoughts)

It makes sense to not wash as often if maintaining a swirl free finish and a swirl free finish ONLY is what you're looking to achieve. The reason that I personally wipe down, QD, or rinseless wash at least once a week is to keep the shine going. I'm sure that's an obvious reason for many of us...

    New Jetta

I use OPC at 5:1, spray and lather with a brush to clean. Then I use either carpro PERL, really because it beads water so nicely, or I've been using autoglym vinyl and rubber protectant. With the autoglym, you can adjust how much sheen/shine you receive by the amount of time between...

Will DP Prep Polish Remove Previous LSP?

I was thinking this. Maybe hit it with some light passes of LC blue/M205 to clean up some water spots and light stuff and then go at it with dp prep. Now could I use a polishing pad with dp prep instead of the M205 and take the advantage of the cutting ability of the pad to provide that bit of...
