    Washing microfiber

I've used both All Free & Clear and BF Microfiber cleaner. They both clean the same, which is very good. The only difference I can tell is that using the BF cleaner, the towels are more "tacky" meaning they stick to your fingers more - which is a good thing. I understand this tackiness to be...

    Most regretted detailing product purchase

For the most part, I agree with Simple Green, but it does have its place. I recently used it to clean silicone spray off of my Line-X bedliner. That's about as far as I would go with wanting to use that. Sent from my SCH-I535 using AG Online

    Klasse AIO SAved The Day

So, I'm installing a RollBak retractable bed cover for my 2011 Silverado that is in immaculate condition with no swirls. I installed the brackets on the side of my bed using the provided self tapping screws. As an extra layer of protection against rust, I removed the brackets and sprayed...

Touchfree Car Wash in New Orleans Area

Thanks for all of the replies. It doesn't matter it anyone works there of not. I just get the basic touchless wash anyway. I knew the Pelican Point and the new In & Out was not touchless. Causeway and vets and Williams and vets are fine with me. Thanks again.

Touchfree Car Wash in New Orleans Area

I recently had back surgery and as a result, one of the things I won't be able to do is wash my truck for a month or two. I drove around Metairie and New Orleans this past weekend looking for a touch free car wash and I can't find one. I can't pressure wash right now either - too much...

    Flat Pads vs CCS Pads

What's the difference between the flat pads and the CCS pads (besides the obvious visual differences) with the grooves cut in them? Is there a time when you would use a flat pad in place of a CCS pad or vice versa?

Not recently purchased, but Armor All is the worst, as everyone knows.

How many microfiber polishing cloths do I need to detail my car?

The colors bleed a little at first. I was the black, white, grey, yellow and green towels together. The white's aren't perfectly white anymore, but that doesn't bother me - they still work the same. If I had more white or black towels, I would wash them separately.

How many microfiber polishing cloths do I need to detail my car?

I'm typing this out so that I can see how many I use in a session. I have a full size crew cab pickup and I usually wash it once a week. The only leather I have is my steering wheel, so I don't use any leather cleaner. 2 white waffle weaves for the outside windows 2 white waffle weaves for...

The Definitive How-To Article for Removing Swirls, Scratches and Water Spots Using a Porter Cable 7424XP, G110v2 or Griot's Garage Polisher

Mike, thanks for your many tips. I recently bought a GG DA from you all, but haven't used it yet. I'm waiting for a whole day of good weather. Anyway, before I use my pads for the first time, do I need to condition them with either QD spray or the polish that I'm using at the time? I hear so...

    Micro Fiber Cleaners

I wash mine the same way. I don't know what the difference is between detergent and MF cleaner. From what I have read, I think some or all MF cleaners have a water softener in them? I'm not sure why, but mine have more of the static cling to them. Makes it feel like my hands are sandpaper...

    Micro Fiber Cleaners

I am fairly new to microfiber also. I have been using them for only about 3 months. When I first got them, I read that you aren't supposed to use anything with dyes, fabric softeners, perfumes or dry them on high heat. Since we already had All Free & Clear for my toddler, I decided to use...

Chemical Guys Customer Service...What a joke...

I'm in IT and I deal with a lot of foreign support personnel. It sounds like they are from overseas. As many IT people here can tell you, this is a very common type of dialog when dealing with non-American citizens.

Does everyone buy there products from Autogeek?

About 90% from AG and the rest local. I like to support the local stores, even though they are chains, when they carry good products like GG and Megs. Just so that they will keep stocking them.
