Is a coating glossier than an LSP?

Some coatings like CQUK can have a little gloss enhancing ability that gives a candy coated kind of look but a lot of sealants can do this too. Ultima Paint Guard Plus for example can do this. If the overall look is your primary objective a coating really isn't generally going to be a solution...

New For SEMA! Wolfgang Uber Rinseless Wash

It seems like Wolfgang would comparable to D114 (relatively) and Blackfire to Ultima. I'm sure the ability of Uber to clean without leaving protection behind will be popular with people using coatings. Interesting.

I love that one! There are so many great episodes.

    Hello from Allentown, PA

Hey! A fellow Allentonian! I'm in Allentown as well Welcome! There are so many different products to choose from nowadays. My one two punch products (after claying and decontamination of course) are Meguiars M101 and Car Pro Reflect. However, since you're just starting off I...

Sneak Peek: PBMG's new products for SEMA

Ah, a wheel coating from Wolfgang perhaps? Christianity has Easter, detailers have SEMA. 😝

    what are you currently watching?

I've recently gotten addicted to Rick and Morty. Absolutely hilarious. My favorite one so far is the one where Jerry and Beth go to marriage counseling.

Have you ever been in trouble for detailing?

Lol. This made me chuckle because I used to be exactly like this. Not anymore though. Detailing is fun and all but my family and friends are first. Don't be too hard on yourself. Just learn and go from there bud 😉

Sneak Peek: PBMG's new products for SEMA

That's the rinseless wash that's been being tested if I'm not mistaken. Same kind of measuring bottle Ultima comes in.

    HD POXY vs COLLINITE products

There was a big wax test from like 6 years ago and 915 outlasted 476. Could have been conditions but I thought that was interesting. Anyway, I think 845 is the way to go if you are looking for a balance between ease of use and durability. Lets face it, most of us wouldn't wait more than a few...

    Little wet sanding project today

I'm just gonna say..... Nice job, Don! 😃 A 75 % improvement was worth it IMO. Especially if he was going to have it repainted anyway. :dblthumb2:

    Brand New...What Woud You Do?

It all depends on what you enjoy doing, too. If you enjoy washing and waxing/sealing then a coating is pointless. Also, is this a daily driver or just a nice weather weekend car? If it's the latter I would invest in a quality carnauba wax or sealant like Wolfgang. That will give you plenty of...

    Meguiars 26

I absolutely ADORE #26. The depth it gives dark cars is astounding. There is a place for it in everyone's detailing arsenal.

    Preservation of WGPS over Winter

I'm betting that's the new rinseless wash that's being tested. The color, slickness afterwards that's mentioned and fact that WG does not have a rinseless/waterless yet lead me to believe this is the case.

The Trunk: How Much is Expected

It all depends how much I'm getting paid. If it's a basic one step job with interior then no. If they're paying for the works like full correction and a coating then yes I will.

Car detailed, ppf applied, and 1000's of scratches

Unfortunately, it is impossible for any of us to know exactly who is at fault. None of us were there at either location and placing the blame on the retailer or PPF installer solely is inappropriate. How would any of us feel if we were either party and did a great job but were being blamed...

Which "Non Pro" Coating offers the most for a small business?

I'm a part timer here too. Personally, I go with CQuartz UK and DLux. Great price point and amazing gloss and hydrophobic properties.

    Rinseless wash question

I only do the GDWM now for rinseless washes. Either way, wash mitt or mf towels, you're going to have to wash something. The 8 or so towels I have to wash (which is a tiny load btw) far outweighs marring the finish and having to fix it later.

    Autogeek Prototype Rinseless Review

I'm confused, the pictures are of a prototype rinseless by Autogeek? That's what I was getting out of it. I've used all four of the products you mentioned along with Blackfire, DP, Pinnacle and Meguiars D114/115. While they are certainly all good products I always seem to gravitate to Ultima...

Where do you store your car detailing supplies?

In the basement all year round. Its about 68 avg. Nothing gets left in the garage.

    M101

As Zach stated, it does dust more than some others but the cut and finish of M101 is incredible. I do recommend it if you are going to be working on neglected vehicles. It can be a real time saver with which the speed it cuts.
