they are tape above the clear.

they are tape, so I assume vinyl. so tape off for polishing but do I jetseal them? would it give them some protection?

What would cause this? My pad got chewed up, there were pieces coming off on the car and a lot more dusting then I am used too with V34?

I have done several searches and found many post that talk about the rupes machines, and they talk about learning the correct way to use the machine, they just dont say what that correct way is/are.

My correcting was not very good with PC but I was getting better, I got some microfiber pads and that made a big difference in my speed. Brickmod? I saw alot of rupes threads but not on how to use?
