    $19.95 Mobile Wash & Wax!

Hey all, I'm considering setting up a little side hussle to help with my rainy day fund. I've been researching the market in my area and am astounded at the prices some of these 'detailers' are offering. One guy here offers a full 'wash and wax' for $ 20 and says he can do it in 15-20...

Black 2006 Honda Civic - Before & After Pics

There are still a few visible RIDS but looks WAY better! I'd keep in mind that even if you achieve perfection, it won't last long on a daily driven black car. If you are happy then seal it up and be done. If it were mine, I'd try to get work out a few more of those RIDS (if they are not too...

I will never EVER buy a black daily driver ever again. You are not alone my friend.

    Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Had to replenish my regular "stock" of OPC & ONR so ordered a few extra goodies to try out. Also got a few new cobras as well as a couple grit guards (for a present for my buddy who thinks washing with an old tshirt is the best way to go)

    Best for drying ?

No worries, I wasn't thinking that u were saying that I neglected my paint....:) Yes, black was the worst decision I ever made. I will never ever buy another black rig. It might be fine for a garage queen but simply doesn't work for a daily driver (not to mention it's a truck that actually...

How do remove compound/wax from rubber trim and gaskets?

Optimum power clean + old toothbrush = success!!

    Best for drying ?

My truck is not neglected in any way shape or form. Well waxed / sealed. My leaf blower is a home depot home lite 12 amp 220 mph deal. It doesn't specify volume but seems like it moves quite a bit of air. I honestly hate it. Much rather just use waffle weaves with a spray of OCW on each...

    Best for drying ?

Seems there are many here who love the leaf blower method. I recently went out and picked up another leaf blower specifically for drying my truck. Not impressed at all. It does push the water out of seams, but I find it doesn't 'dry' and is cumbersome and slow....

Optimum Power Clean 17oz squirt bottle

OPC is amazing and worth every penny. I even use it to clean the tub/shower. You'll be impressed...and it doesn't stink!

Product selection for different types of trim (automotive)

Oh snap, I was just kidding around. Hope I didn't offend!!! My Apologies if so. Lets face it, if you are a member of this forum, chances are there is some OCD/anal retentive action going on. I'm actually curious as to what folks have to say.

Product selection for different types of trim (automotive)

Holy mackerel...The next time my my wife tells me I'm to anal about my rig, I'm showing her this post:) I'm no expert but how about breaking it into 'hard' trim, and ' soft' trim. I put opti-seal (will use option-coat soon) on the hard stuff and a UTTG or a UK brand not sold on AG on the soft...

If you could only use one brand...

ONR is so amazing that I also have to go Optimum.

Griots Garage Professional Random Orbital 3 Inch Polisher

Here you go. Crappy video. I was using my beer filled garage fridge and putting as much pressure as possible on the polisher. It was still spinning. I had it on speed 6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTi01_9p4AY&feature=youtube_gdata_player

    Compatibility issues?

Some folks have said that ONR.doesn't play well with 845. I've not experienced this, and have had no problems with compatability. That being said, from here on in I'm ditching the 845 and going opti-seal + OCW.

Griots Garage Professional Random Orbital 3 Inch Polisher

I have the 'new' version and think it is awesome. It's only spinning a 3" pad so it's no less under powered than the PC spinning a 5.5" pad IMO. If u like I can try to shoot a video and put it on youtube.

ONR technique - do you wring out the towel when you put it in the mixture?

I use a super plush mf somewhat wrung out, but I also pre-soak each panel with ONR in spray bottle.

    Foam

I have the same one. I've only used it a few times and haven't really been able to dial it in very well. I've been using gold class as well and found diluting it wasn't working. Last time I tried straight up soap and got a decent foam by just adjusting the 'adjuster'. I'd imagine a true...

Dr. G's Recipe For Shiny Paint - Optimum GPS

Nice review. How would you compare this stuff to poli-seal in terms of ease of use, efficacy, longevity/durability?

    Worst/Best Spray Wax/Sealant over Collinite 845?

Interesting. I have used both v2 and v3 with no issue. Then again its with a 845 + optiseal combo. I meant to mix some ONR and 845 to see what happens but never really got around to it.
