It Was Kept Clean, He Said

I hope he at least offered you a little Debbie for your troubles. I assume that there were a few left since they ended up back in the trunk, lol. All jokes aside, nice turn around! I am sure they were pleased.

    Request input on First logo

Personally I would remove the shadows and keep all text flat (no embossing or highlights). I think this will give you the most flexibility for different media types (card, website, shirts, or vehicle lettering). I don't know how well the embossing or drop shadows would translate to shirts or...

Software For Tracking Customers and Products Used?

I've been thinking about building a website specifically designed for detailers and tracking their customers/inventory. I haven't gotten around to it yet due to my work load at my full-time job being so busy at the moment, but this is something I would like to do at some point. The features I...

Better late than never...yet another new Autogeek member!

Congrats Roger, she's beautiful! I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old, both boys, and already I can say it goes by too quickly. I've tried to teach the 3 year old how to help me clean the cars, but hes more interested in spraying whatever is in the spray bottles. So I had to give him his own...

    Custom labels for spray bottles

I have uploaded the PDF files that I had used when printing for anyone that wants to use the labels as is. I don't believe you will be able to edit these without the PRO version of Adobe Acrobat, but feel free to use them if you'd like! Spray_Bottle_Labels.pdf Spray_Bottle_Labels2.pdf...

    Custom labels for spray bottles

I should have thought to give them a wipe down. If the labels start to lift it will give me a chance to fix the corners on the templates. Thanks for the idea! I am really happy with the 24 oz bottles. The 32 oz bottles I have were just too big and bulky, and I felt like with the 16 oz bottles...

Used D156 as a drying aid for the first time today...

I did the same thing today on my focus and my wife's explorer sport. I noticed some streaking on my focus which is the magnetic color, but I also didn't follow up with a second microfiber to completely buff The paint. I should have thought about that but I was trying to get a quick wash in...

    Custom labels for spray bottles

So I've finally been able to print the labels and putting them on the spray bottles. The template that I used didn't line up with the label as well as I had hoped, but that may be something I fix in the future if I need to redo these. I have a bunch of extra labels as I was planning on screwing...

Has detailing your car turned you OCD?

I admit, I could have picked a better title for this thread. I didn't mean any disrespect to anyone who has OCD or knows someone that does. I was just implying that once you start down the path of maintaining your vehicle to a certain standard, it starts to creep into other areas of your life...

Q's Re: Dressing BIG Knobby Truck Tires

Those tires came out awesome! I'll have to pick up a brush to try that with my tires, they are such a pain to dress due to all of the ribs on the sidewall. Thanks for the tip!

    Tire Dressing

I've been using PERL undiluted for the past summer. It gives just the right amount of gloss that I want and it's dry-to-the-touch within a few minutes. It's not the longest lasting product out there, but I clean my vehicles almost every week during the summer(winter is a different story). It's...

Has detailing your car turned you OCD?

Maybe I am the only one, but I never used to be a clean freak. But once I started detailing my cars I've noticed that I get bothered if other areas of my life are not clean and organized. I should follow-up that previous statement that I do not judge how others choose to live their life. I am...

2 paragraph Nanoskin fine Autoscrub pad review

I have only used clay, but I don't see why you couldn't use MQD with the clay alternatives. That is my own opinion, but I have no experience to back that up. I want to try the sponge once I use up all of the clay I currently have. I know the autoscrub pads are probably no worse than doing it by...

    Metal coatings?

:iagree: I used to work for a ford dealership and those grills were chrome clad plastic (at least they were a few years ago). Maybe some of the higher Packages on the F150 might have a metal grill, but I don't think those do either.

    Custom labels for spray bottles

You can see the numbers in one photo...you CHEATED!!! JK! I wanted something that would fit into that massive storage bin. I had a bunch of bottles leak a few years ago and they got all over my wife's stuff in the garage. It was almost ex-wife after that fiasco. I wanted to print up the labels...

    Custom labels for spray bottles

I guess in a sense I am selfish because I am doing this for my own benefit and to have my bottles uniform. But if anyone wants to use it, I have no problems sharing the template. Unfortunately I am only a hobby detailer so I won't be using the products every day, but I will post updates to...
