    2011 White Montero Sport

Just two weeks from the dealership, I already waxed my new SUV four times. The first one using a Moms CCW and Collinite 915 combination, while the latest is a layer of NXT 2.0 liquid applied by hand. Some phone cam pictures: My next project is to use my G110v2 and Ultimate Polish to...

    Collinite effect on white

Try the MDE 915. It has a slightly deeper gloss on white surfaces. Collinite is a mainstay in my arsenal. Good job!

Motorola RAZR and Samsung Nexus Prime (eat your heart out iFone)

I've used the Galaxy S2 (dual core), and it is FAST. It multitasks easily without any sign of hiccups or delays. I look forward to the Nexus Prime, and the future quad-core phones. I wonder how their battery life will last?

Second ever DA detail: 2007 Honda Civic

Great job, lokerola! I own a 2006 Civic (Asian/Euro body) too. Just curious: Do you ever get the water stains below the sideview mirrors?

    Which Megs Wax with DA

Among the Megs products, I've used the Hi-Tech Yellow Wax, and the Showtime Glaze with a polisher. I liked the even results versus by-hand applications. For corrective products, I've used the M205 and Ultimate Compound. I've read from the Megs site that all new products are safe to use either...

    Types of Detailing Clay

I use the DuPont Fine-Grade Clay. There's also a Medium-Grade Clay. I use the fine-grade once a month, or whenever I feel asphalt & tar stains on areas of my lower door panels.

    Favorite area to clean?

I love the hood and trunk lid! From washing to applying LSP, I love to look at my reflection from these 2 panels. And that's how I gauge the paint condition of any car: I stare at the hood.

    Professional or Hobbyist?

I'm an enthusiast turned hobbyist. But my wife says with all the stuff I have, I can turn professional! :-) BobbyG, that's one heck of a collection of products for a hobbyist! I wish to have a workshop as huge and organized as yours.

    Dreaded area to clean?

I'd have to agree on the wheel well areas; I've yet to get special brushes for that. But I'm perfectly okay with windows - in fact I love applying rain repellent on all the glass panels.

    2006 Honda Civic FD

Hi, sharing pictures of my 2006 Honda Civic FD. I use a wide variety of car care products, mostly Meguiars, Mothers and Collinite. I'm about to try Optimum and Souveran in the coming weeks. I have a rotary polisher with polishing and finishing pads. I ordered a G110v2 DAP, hope to get it...

    Meguiar's Ultimate Products.

Here's my review of the Ultimate products I use: 1. Wash & Wax - takes away dirt & grime, while leaving a slightly smooth surface after rinsing 2. Compound - in between the 205 and 105 in terms of corrective ability, great product for most scratches and tough stains 3. Paste Wax - great...

    Klassie All In One

I've tried KAIO by hand. Manually it needs medium to heavy pressure to remove slight swirls. Works well with the Klasse Sealant & Glaze right after the KAIO.

    High end carnubas

I think pure carnauba waxes are not durable. I noticed that wax blends containing carnauba and other synthetic polymers last longer than pure carnauba.
