American Muscle Car Show @ Maple Grove Raceway, PA Any Geeks Attending?

It's funny how things like that work out. It was a nice show, with over 2,000 cars in attendance. I forgot my camera at home but Drew uploaded a video on here. Got a chance to catch up with him a little.

American Muscle Car Show @ Maple Grove Raceway, PA Any Geeks Attending?

Just curious if anybody else was planning on going to it tomorrow? I know Sonic was there last year and is planning on going again. It's at a new location if anyone wasn't aware of it and would like to make last minute plans.

Should I had bought a Tornador instead of a Steamer for my mobile volume business?

Although the tornador is a great tool the steamer will be more versatile. It all comes down to how much room you have to spare to haul a compressor as mentioned above and how much you want to spend. You can do just about everything with the steamer that you could do with the tornador minus air...

    Foam Cannon Help

I noticed you said you have a half gallon reservoir. Are you sure you have a foam cannon? The majority of foam cannons that I have seen are 32 oz's. A foam cannon attaches to a pressure washer whereas the foam gun (available in quart and half gallon reservoir sizes) attaches to a standard...

My car wash water filtration system

Gotcha, that's fine. Update the thread if you have a chance when you've done a little testing.

My car wash water filtration system

Sure, how many gpm's can the set up handle, (i.e. enough to run through a pressure washer?) What's the amount of time the resin lasts?

Funniest thing you saw about detailing

I watched a guy "clean" his fairly new Jeep the other day at the gas station with the window squeegee.

It's better to have a system down than a lot of tools

Nice, quick but informative write-ups that you've been doing. I've read the majority of them and they help you to look at things from a different perspective. This specific article is especially true. Care to share your processes whether that be interior or exterior? If you'd rather not...

My car wash water filtration system

Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. Have you had an opportunity to do some testing yet?

My car wash water filtration system

Interesting, care to explain the "recharging" process a bit more in depth? Although I don't see myself purchasing a CR or similar set-up you have my interest. How's it different from the CR other than the readings that you're able to achieve? Does it use the same type of resin that the CR uses?

Why not have a thread dedicated to "trade" products only?

I believe this is what you may be looking for. Simply make a post stating what you have and what you'd like to get in return. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/7765-samples-original-post-updated-306.html

D101 used in Tornador? Foaming issues?

Okay, good to hear. I think I'll be picking up 2 gallons of D101 and a gallon of OPC.

D101 used in Tornador? Foaming issues?

Thanks for the answer, that's what I was hoping to hear. Maybe I'll have to experiment with that method. I'm assuming the extended dwell time is the advantage over the standard method. I appreciate the response but I think I'll have to pass on that. I was looking for something slightly more...

D101 used in Tornador? Foaming issues?

With the discontinuation of D103 in 1 gal. size and a low stock of D103 I need to find a new APC. I recently purchased the tornador black and gave it a test run and was quite impressed. Therefore I see myself implementing it quite often. I know D101, OPC, CG All Clean, and Poorboy's World APC...

OFFICIAL September Detail Fest Weekend East Coast

Sounds good to me. If there is no other interest in it I don't mind skipping it and focusing solely on exterior paint corrections. I love that color, should be a very rewarding end product.

    Good Spray bottle for HYDR02?

Agreed, they are a great sprayer form my experience with them and provide a large range of adjustment including a very fine mist. You can purchase the sprayer head and then pair it with your preferred 8 or 16oz bottle. Although the siphon tube will be long enough for a 32 oz bottle you can just...

    Vaccuum

I recommend the 4.5 gal rectangular prism shaped RIGID vac from HD. If you're pushed on space whether mobile or fixed it's a great vacuum because you can stack items on top of it when not in use. Although if you decided to purchase this vac you'll want to add an aftermarket hose due to length...
