thanks. i think i will try with the compounding pad

i have both meguiars #83 and #9 as swirls remover, however here is the question, i used #9 with the 3M black polish pad and the result was not that good. Should i change to a more aggressive product with the same pad or should i jump to a compound pad?

how can you tell if the polish has broken down? should i mist the wool pad with little water?

i had try it on one of the panel, it seems to be a little better however i could not get all the swirls out of it.

if foam is a better choice, which pads will fit on the 7" hook n loop that came with the package? should i start with the lighter wool pad (since there are two in the package) and finish with a foam pad (meguiar 8006)?

please any advice will be helpful......

i have purchased a makita rotary lately and i am trying to remove the swirl mark on the car. would that be ok to use the wool pads that came with the package? and is that a idea to use meguiar 83 and follow by meguiar 9?
