These chips do not look like the standard chips I am used to seeing. I do need to get Dr. Color Chip to take care of the chips surrounding the rear bumper, thanks to NYC garage parking.
Welcome to the forum!!! I just became a newbie after I got a new car myself. I want to take care of this daily driver correctly, and I am already getting hooked, and I am not halfway done in getting my supplies.:pc7424:
I have noticed this for some time on the hood of my 2000 Nissan Maxima, and I finally want to do something about it. Is this clear coat failure? Will claying help reduce that, or will compounding have to come into play?
All orders over $150 will receive Autogeek Show Car Garage Mike Phillips' Principles of Machine Polishing DVD and Mike Phillips' The Art Of Detailing Audio Book for free!
A value of $60.98!
Damn....I gotta get in that action. I need to get myself a book.
I have to take a look at the Griots DA polisher. I'm trying to plan out how to work the pads, and when to clean them "on the fly". With my luck, I won't clean them properly and I'll end up doing more harm than good.:doh:
I am planning to get the PC 7424XP. How many pads is enough to use on one car, or does it vary according to the size of the car. Since I am a beginner, I will use it for polish and wax. I was thinking about getting 2 each of LC CCS 5.5" orange/white/gray. Is that enough coverage?
This is off-topic, but I'm going to try and put together my own car wash shampoo formulation....I work in a lab, so I can request ingredient samples and I can put it together at work...let's see how it works.
