    Advise on serious water spot damage

    I agree, sometimes a light sanding, maybe with 3M's 3000 grit, will take enough off clear to remove the damage and will polish out nicely with SIP and 106FA. Save you time and aggrevation.

    yea, and the fact that the cars are fiberglass and that smooth, the craftsmenship is second to none. if you get a chance check out there website and see how they are built and shipped. its very impressive, the cars dont even have wheels or an engine when they come to the states. good to see that...

    I believe so...its kind of a shame too that they had to switch to the new waterbourne. put a well kept single stage Rossa Red next to a new base/clear and the difference is huge. the old single looks so much better.

    the first Ferrari to use base/clear was in 99 with the 360 Modena(which is PPG waterbourne) up until then all Ferraris were painted with single stage.
