I have noticed OC and yellow pad will cause some micromarring, but the OP used in the next step will remove it. RMG topped with Souveran would give the paint a nice deep wet look.
You mean you guys don't have the joy of detailing cars like this all the time? You're really missing out and some fun. You definitely have some work ahead of you, but besides the deep scratches on the door, the swirls and light oxidation should be workable. I haven't had any experience with...
If you're refering to a dropped pad I consider it a loss. I'm sure if you washed it and inspected it closely it would still be good, but if it's close to the 10-15 use lifespan, then I'll just part ways with it. I think I've only dropped a pad once, I'm usually very careful when working with...
The life of a polishing pad varies based on a number of factors. I find that I go through compounding and polishing pads relatively quickly (10-15 uses) before i decide that it is time to replace them. I'm kind of picky and if the pad starts to tear or become increasingly difficult to clean...
$2.50 is extremely reasonable for MSLT. I used to get it in case quantities at about 2.69 and that was wholesale. I still have half of an "expired" case left, the stuff looks and works fine still, can't really understand the reason for dating the cans.
I could easily understand why they have that label on the bottle, definitely not a product you want to be using if you haven't had a good meal prior to application. My truck is victory red and had a layer of Pink Wax topped with a layer of Natty's Blue and the Souveran added some additional...
Just tried the spray wax out today and have to say that I absolutely love it. I QD'd the paint then went over it with the Souveran Spray Wax and couldn't get over the ease of use and the added depth and slickness. OCW has a tendency to streak, but the Souveran was completely streak-free.
If you want to go with the traditional style of shampoos, I really like Optimum's wash soap. To be honest though, I really don't find Gold Class to be all that harsh it's an excellent OTC car wash. NXT on the other hand is a very aggressive car wash. Other options include P21S body shampoo...
I really like Gilmour Flexogen hoses, they are very durable and come with solid brass ends as opposed to the light-weight ends on most inexpensive hoses. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for, so while they may cost significantly more than other hoses, their quality is top notch...
Thanks for the kind words, I'm happy to be back. I can't tell you how much money I saved from not detailing, but I know it cost me a lot to start again, haha. It's money well spent though, I really love this stuff.
Hello all, I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone. I've been away from detailing for almost a year know, but have finally found some time to pick it up again. I look forward to participating within this forum. I've been browsing though the topics and I have noticed a lot of...
