The Cyan pads are definitely my favorite so far (assuming we're talking about the LC HT?) They cut good and finish nicely. The Tangerine pad for finish polishing is great. The new Megs foam pads are really nice as well and are a close runner up.

General rule of thumb is your suppose to use the least aggressive polish/compound to do the job, but if that doesn't work then you work down. Some products also work different with different materials. That's why test spots are important as well. You will be more than pleased with the PC...

I think CG V36 is his heavier polish.

Sounds like I'll be picking up some Wolfgangs after this. My CG M-Sealer isn't anything spectacular :(

So out of curiousity what's the scoop on thin pads? I see Lake Country has thin pad variants as well (like the Cyan) is there any advantages? I'm assuming they are going to heat up quicker and absorb less.

It's holding up really well! I always feel the pads after I do a section and it's not warm at all! (I did get the thicker of the two hydro-techs.) Just wanted to chime back in on this. I got a Cyan Hydro-Tech pad today and so far this has been the best pad to date! Not sure if its the flatness or just the hydro-tech pad itself but this is what I expected out of FG400. Really the only thing that changed is I went to 5 section passes as well...

dlc95: Those dreams have already started LOL! I think I'll pick-up a Hydro-tech Cyan pad today as I've read a few people having good success with that and FG400. Will also pick-up some Optimum Power Cleaner as well for interior cleaning.

When I used speed 6 I noticed a lot more dusting (which I'm sure any product eventually does).
