    Nissan Maxima

OK - now that the crud was off the car, I could get on with the paint correction. The combination of cloudy skies, white car, and metallic flake made it REALLY hard to see how I was doing, but it came out ok. THe pearl looked awesome once I was done -like it was floating under the clear...

    Nissan Maxima

Well, word is spreading at work to come see me for all your detail needs. I did this Pearl White Nissan Maxima today, and am supposed to be doing a Titan in the future. That one is going to hurt, I think. I haven't decided what to charge for it. I've gotten quick enough that I don't feel bad...

    XMT 360 - worth a claybar beforehand?

XMT360 disappears after one slow pass with my PC on 6 for me. It also seems to correct better on 6 than on 5.

I am broke, and loving it!

Wow, that paint is glowing! Nice job - how long did it all take with all the steps?

I'd be interested in knowing how long the Z-CS holds up...they claim 9 months. You can PM me since it's not an AG product, if you'd like.

Some nice shots of the TA

Those cars look so insane....and you took some nice shots. What kind of camera are you using?

I always wondered what the service on the high end cars was like. If you have a really good foreign auto mechanic, would they be able to tackle it, or are these cars/parts so rare that you pretty much have to go through the dealers? I'm guessing the local Quik Lube doesn't have the Ferrari oil...

Quick Review -- Surf City Speed Demon Wax Detailer

Looks like you really can't go wrong with the Surf City products. Nice to see an entire line of quality products instead of the random stuff that usually gets peddled this day in age. Wow, that makes me sound a lot older than I am.

who wants to give me advice for a speech? lol

4-6 minutes is a lot longer than you think, if you are speaking constantly and not "ummm'ing" a lot. If you want to break down the entire process into three steps - wash/prep, polish, and wax, then you will have time for an introduction (30-45) seconds, three main points of about 1 minute each...

    which carnub? pinnacle or p21

By cars "on our lot" do you mean a car lot, or your property? Souveran will add up in cost quickly if you are doing a lot of cars. P21S is half the cost, and from I have been told S100 is the same stuff and half the cost of P21S, so you could go even cheaper.

    Wax is annoying me...

Does running over the truck with a QD right after you wax it help any? That might kind of smooth it all out.

Honestly - we all like having clean, shiny cars but sealing your car in a bubble is a few steps beyond anal. Are you going to drive it, or just stare at it? The next step is sealing it in a clear, plastic block like those bugs trapped in amber from the dinosaur days.

I like it when you can't tell where the paint stops and the glass begins:

    Paint Restore: Toyota 4Runner

It looks so good, I need a new adjective to describe it - how about "creamy"? If not, I'll describe it as "scrumtrulescent".

So you think You've done the nastiest vehicle???... dare to peek!!

I think the world needs a few less kids of that variety, and parents too for that matter. Nice job man - even the unglamorous jobs have to get done. Maybe you should write to "Dirty Jobs" on the Discovery channel and book her car again!

    More goodies ordered tonight...

Nice stock of goodies! I've placed a moratorium on buying more stuff until I line up some more paying customers. Until then I live vicariously through you!

Why no DP polishes at AGO?

Well, XMT works great even for a novice, and it doesn't make a lot of sense to duplicate products over and over in multiple lines, really. DP to me offers great products for great value (especially in the quantities that they come in!) and are more towards the wax and cleaning aspects of the...

Why no DP polishes at AGO?

Do they even exist? I've never seen them elsewhere.

Need your opinion on what I just ordered from AG

XMT works great with what you ordered - I've used it as my corrective polish for everything and used the whole line - XMT #4 through XMT #1 and XMT 360 as well. I actually ordered some XMT and that same PC7424 kit with pads from Autogeek and have been happy with them.
