    Thanksgiving week

Well, being in the north east and having shorter days and colder temps, I rushed home Mondaybcause it was a 50 degree day and I washed 3 cars :). Now I can relax on my 4 days off beginning on Thursday. On Friday we will go cut down our Christmas tree and come home and decorate it. Oh yeah...

Got smoke and soot all over my paint

Hi guys. Long story short, there was a fire near my wife’s office. Smoke blew towards her parking lot as did soot and water from the fire hoses. Her paint is in rough shape now. I washed the car the next day and that did very little. I then clayed it and 3 bars came out completely black...

How do you guys manage it???

I just say i'm going to wash my car/s and she's fine with it. No need to justify. We have 4 cars and I like washing 3 of them. The minivan doesn't get too much love, just the needed attention. All of our cars are almost always shiny and looking proper. My wife knows I have a stressful job...

Questions before purchase - swirl / scratch removal

I’ve had some success w the Wolfgang kit on hard Mercedes paint. I like them and Sonax perfect finish. I used to use a meguiars m105 205 combo w good results but it was just too dusty for me.

Anyone else just sick of the NFL?

I don’t care for all the politics and non sense. However, I like watching the game and supporting my team. I like going to games. I like tail gating. And I like talking about the NFL teams and games and scores like any good Monday morning quarterback. And I like watching Dallas, Philly and the...

    Good coating for first timer

I am not new to coating but each coating is new to me as I keep trying different ones and like to experiment w all different types. Here are my thoughts: Polish Angel Viking Coat - super easy to apply. Easy on easy off. Like butter and leaves an awesome shine. Very good for a first timer. No...

    Honda Shine!

Nice car and nice shine. I have a 2012 Odyssey w 138k and she runs like a champ. But it doesn’t shine like yours :). It’s also white so maybe that doesn’t help. Mine is full of road chips and soccer balls and I find it hard to get motivated to detailing it when I know that in a day or two...

    Wax and water spots question..

In reference to Camaro’s comment - not necessarily. It’s only an issue if you let the car sit wet. For me, I love my water beading. It lets me know my car still has protection on it. I always dry it w a blower when it gets wet. The beads just roll right off w little effort. Just my opinion. W

What's the last form of exercise you've done?

Re: what's the last form of excercise you've done? I just bought a new Marcy home gym. My god it took like 5 hours to build by myself. Worst instructions ever - no words, just black and white drawings. It’s replacing my 15 yr old bo flex. I will say, now that it’s built I love it. I...

Brand Spanking New BMW M2 gets a complete protection package

Now why haven’t I thought of using buckets to hold my wheels up before? That’s a great idea as long as they don’t tip over. Nice work on the M2. I hardly ever see cars like that in Maine. Mostly Subaru’s and pickups. That will def stand out.

Black fire one step topped with Wolfgang Fuzion.

Fusion is one of my favorite waxes. It always looks great on any color I apply it to. Easy on and easy off. Love the smell too. Nice pic. You should do the whole car like that :).

Ceramic Coatings - End of Durability Cycle/Aftercare

I’m not a pro but I apply always polish my cars when I want to remove a coating or make sure that the coating is actually completely gone. Then I apply new coating of choice. Just yesterday I polished my car which had gloss coat on it for 2+ years and today I applied Viking coat.

Add "only" hydrophobic property to my paint?

I use opti-seal on my suv as a drying aid and have never had an issue w streaking. I love that product and I use it on everything. Windows, wheels, dash, leather, paint, trim, etc. That car is coated w opticoat. Compatible and really works well for me. I use Gyeon cure as a drying aid on my...
