    Paint type?

Mike, I agree with you about Germans and Italians, even though I am half Italian! I don't know much about the Germans driving habits, but I have to tell you that driving in Italy is fun! Dr. Pain on another post, suggested the use of Spotless, which I bought but haven't had the time to...

    Paint type?

Mike, I agree with you about German cars; I even have (overseas) an "Italian" car that is actually German (I am sure you know which brand I am talking about). Once, long ago, we had here in the US our Autobahn, in Montana. You probably remember that. Long ago though, but I've never had the...

    Paint type?

Jesus Christ, Mike; is there anything you haven't done with these things yet? :) I was taking a good look at the M3; it does shine like brand new; looking from a few feet away you wouldn't be able to see a single blemish. Those damn water spots. And the windows... looks like it there was a film...

    Paint type?

You've got a point here... I actually didn't know I wouldn't be able to use the RUPES 21 or 15 in those areas. I have two cars; a 2012 M3 and a 2013 Elantra, with an M4 coming by March or April next year. These are the cars I'd be using the machines on. The Griots 6 would take care of everything...

    Paint type?

Mike, I wasn't thinking about using OEM RUPES pads and liquids; rather Wolfgang or Menzerna. I thought about the RUPES just because I've heard they are one step above the others, which may not be true. Do you use a Flex? Thank you again. Brgds.

One word, AMAZING! Thanks for sending this Mike. It is now time to learn which polishing pads to get with the Rupes. But I will get there! Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and for having the patience answering me. Brgds,

Another question, if I may: I have Pinnacle Black Label Surface Cleansing Polish and Diamond Paint Coating; would they be something I could also use? Thanks again. Brgds.

    Paint type?

Thanks for the congrats Mike, but I have had the car since 2012; it is now time to take a really good care of her! I will definitely take a look at the link you sent on Wolfgang; I do have a few Wolfgang products that I have used by hand. I like them. Thank you much for your reply and...

    Paint type?

Forgot to mention; I am going to finally get a DA polisher; is the Menzerna all good for that kind of application? I am going to get a Rupes (not sure if a 21 or 15). It is time for me to get into this DA thing. Tired of hand wax my cars. Brgds.

Paint is pretty good, I think (I know nothing) that a very fine polish thing would do it. I thank you much for your recommendation. I've heard a lot of Menzerna.

It is clear coated. So, what polish compound would you recommend?

    Paint type?

Hello Everyone, So I was reading the forum and learned that there are different types of paint; acrylic, ceramic, hard paint, things like that. I have no idea what kind my car is, so I can buy a polish compound specific for it. Car is a 2012 BMW M3, Alpine White. I'd appreciate if someone could...

Hard water spots help... with everything.

Don, Actually, other than the water spots, paint is in perfect condition (or so I think). I like the idea of buying a polisher and learn how to use it though. But wouldn't even know what chemical to use. Thank you. Brgds.

Hard water spots help... with everything.

Thank you all for your replies. I am going to use the Spotless and will let you know the results. I am assuming that if the spots are gone after the Spotless, I will not need to machine polish the car; am I correct? Reason I am asking is that I don't have a polisher but had put one in the cart...
