    Products for exterior trim

Can anyone tell me what material this is? Between the window and metal. Is it vinyl or rubber? Is it true that products for use with plastic can be used for vinyl as well?

    Products for exterior trim

Hi guys, I'm looking for a product for my exterior trim, mainly the plastic (middle part in the first photo) and rubber/vinyl trim at the window sills. Speaking of which, does anyone know whether it's rubber or vinyl? (sorry noob question). Would prob narrow down my options if I know what...

    Products for daily drivers

I thought ocw was the only spray wax available that can be used as a standalone? Bummer, just bought a gallon of the stuff. If it lasts longer and beads better than ocw, I'll really need to try Prima hydro max

    Products for daily drivers

Optimum car wax gets my vote. Comes in a spray form which is as easy as spraying on and wiping off. Takes 10 minutes to do the whole car. Finish is very slick and glossy, durability is also quite solid. Advertised as 5 months but prob more 2 to 3 in real world conditions depending where you are...

    Streaks with hydro2

Yes, I think I'm quite aware on what caused the streaks . In fact I was aware of these before my application and I've applied it one other time before to great results!!! There was just less leeway and margin for error than I thought. That'll teach me....

    Streaks with hydro2

Hi guys, I applied hydro2 on my black car on the weekend. Made the mistake of applying in sunlight and leaving it too long. Also, perhaps the wasn't diluted 1:3 exactly. So now I'm left with some minor feint steaks on my car. As far as I can tell from searching through forums, the only way to...

Repairing stone chips on opti gloss coat surface

Wow!!! Thanks for this, but hopefully I will never have to use it :D Would diluted IPA be an appropriate solvent? Or are there specific paint solvents for automotive paint? And would carpro's eraser do the job? Thanks again for all the info. Really appreciate it.

Repairing stone chips on opti gloss coat surface

Also, I think where I went wrong is when you actually apply the clear. I pretty much filled the chip with colour all the way then topped up with clear, leaving noticeable excess blobs. Am I correct in saying I should have filled the chip enough with colour but just below level. Then filled in...

Repairing stone chips on opti gloss coat surface

Hang on, so you dab in colour then clear right? Also with using the credit card to squeegee the excess colour /clear, aren't you spreading the paint to surrounding healthy paint? I'm picturing it being messy in my head.

Repairing stone chips on opti gloss coat surface

Hi again!! Just want to give everyone yet another update. Went over the area in question with some optimum compound and a LC 4" orange pad and followed up with optimum polish ii on a white pad.... The hazing mentioned in the previous post is GONE!! Furthermore the compound seemed to have...
