How to Repair 3-Prong Electrical Plug

Are you referring to the one larger one smaller blades on plugs? I can't. Except to say tht it's internal fusing and switching. Which has no affect on operation. I'm going to guess that "most" plugs are not polarized. None of the 3 pronged grounded plugs are polarized. And a quick survey of my...

How to Repair 3-Prong Electrical Plug

No problem. I'm just happy to be able to give a little back to the forum. Albeit off topic insignificant info. Maybe one day I'll get good enough at detailing to be able to share good detailing info.

    WD40 Uses...

Have a buddy that sprays his knees and elbows with it before he starts working in the morning. Swears it loosens the joints. I think it's hilarious and quite funny to witness. But I guess if you're a detailer with squeaky knees and elbows then WD-40 has a place in your arsenal!

How to Repair 3-Prong Electrical Plug

I'm sorry but that's just not the case. The only danger to the tool user in a reversed polarity situation like this would b if the user decides to open up the machine and work on it while its plugged in. In normal applications the ground on the device is going to be the best path to ground...

How to Repair 3-Prong Electrical Plug

Actually it's the other way around. Black wire bronze screw, white wire silver screw. But your machine will still work if the polarity is reversed.

    Flex3401vrg or Rupes Bigfoot?

So why do these two machines always get compared to each other. Seems the 3401 is in a category all it's own and the Rupes in the category with GG, PC and all the other DA's. (Maybe its price point) For once I would like to hear someone ask Rupes or GG or PC.

Couple of questions/comments about my Rupes 21ES

I was having that same problem. I figured it out. Just start with your finger on the trigger then press the lock button ( so now your holding them both) then release the trigger and your good to go!

Who here DOES NOT like rinseless washes?

Soo. Did my first Rinseless today. GDWM. 02 Tahoe. Screen shot of how long it took. The split time is when I was done with the paint and starting on the wheels. (Excluding Wheel wells) Thought they were just too dirty. I'm just going to say I don't think I could have done 2BM in that amount of...

Who here DOES NOT like rinseless washes?

I finally got my paint to a point where I'm ready to try GDWM. I live in a high dust high pollen environment. So the day after I wash my truck is already dirty just from sitting outside all night. If GDWM is as easy and quick as it's touted to be then I'm all for it. Will be doing my first test...

    Polishing glass using a DA

Any glass polishing pad in particular? Or will the one that came in the Diamondite system work?

    Why am I destroying pads?!?!

I think I'm going to adopt your method. Which sounds like does not include a pad washer. What kind of brush do you use on MFs?

    Why am I destroying pads?!?!

Yup. Makes sense. Off to AG to buy more pads.

    Why am I destroying pads?!?!

Lesson learned. I have to use more pads and give them rest. Makes me feel like I wasted money on the pad washer. I mean I know I can't expect to use one pad on a car but isn't the whole idea of the pad washer to make it so you use less pads. Looks like I should have put that pad washer $...

    Why am I destroying pads?!?!

I'm pretty sure I kept the pads primed well. Just didn't switch them out, well because I only had one 5" and 6" which would have meant switching backing plates after every panel. So I figured I would just keep them clean. Maybe too clean.

    Why am I destroying pads?!?!

Was cleaning with Grit Guard pad washer after every panel. I have compressed air maybe I should use that instead.

    Why am I destroying pads?!?!

Finally got a free Sunday to detail my Tahoe. My rupes absolutely destroyed three pads. Which makes me know that it's not the pads but me. First I ruined the 5" Meg's finish MF. This was done one the roof of the truck. Didn't think much of it at the time because I've read others having this...

Is it a waste of money...?

Thanks. Found a Mytee lite 2 on CL for $500. Thinking I should jump on that while I can. If not, you think S-300 is a good buy huh?
