    Detailing a van with decals

The best thing to do for decals is to clear coat them(and use a High UV vinyl in the first place) If you "wax" them it wont matter much. just tends to get stuck in the edges and doesnt seem to protect them at all. I have used Plexus on my vinyl and it has now started to discolor some (only...

    ~$350 Steamer

I recommend that you look at a McClulgh steamer from Harbor Freight tools. It is only about 129 and holds 64 oz of water. I currently use one because I to cannot swing for a $500 plus unit. (That is the way to go). It is a little slow but works sooooo much better when cleaning an interior. You...

    Cyclo polisher pads

if you are out of the country, i would check with cyclo for a case shipment or maybe a dealer opportunity. I bought my pads on EBay as a large set for 100 bucks or so(new)..it seems as though you need a complete set from aggressive to light. I have not used the gloss it pads. I stick with the...

Griots Garage 6" or Porter Cable 7424xp

I used to have an older Porter Cable, it worked and worked and worked. If I was to buy a new machine, it would be a flex or a cyclo. If you plan on detailing full time consider the better machine. I do think the PC is a great tool and useful in many ways. I think I used mine for 4 yrs with no...

    steam vs exstractor

I use a cheap 100 Mcchualh and its ok. and I have a HP100 Mytee vac dual heat extractor. I got it with the trailer I bought when I got started. I would not buy an extractor before I had a good steamer! The steam works magic on anything even at home.

    Suggestions for Steam Cleaners

I use the Mcclualh steamer from Harbor Frieght it was 80 on sale but usually about 120. I use it at home and on cars. I used it once to get dried compound of a Honda that sat outside in 100 degree heat for two days. It works great if you have no steamer but only gets to 185 or so. I love it...

    Cyclo as an investment?

I love my cyclo and use it ALWAYS> but as the others have said, I wouldnt shell out more money and have to get more pads just for the cyclo. I have yet to use it on carpets though that is on the list. If you are new and dont have anything I say a flex and or a cyclo and thats it. I don t use my...
