These guys seem to have some solid ideas. I think a coating would really be beneficial to you. Until then, laying down a good sealant with rinseless wash upkeep would suit you pretty well considering where you live. Meguiars rinseless is my favorite, but you will get many answers. Good luck...

Agree w/ psdnuts on the folex. Spray, scrub, blot. Maybe invest in a little green machine to extract, and to have it for next winter? Those can be had for about $100 and are very useful.

+1 on the rinse before rinseless. Since I have SPNS on, the first rinse gets rid of 80% of the dirt. And, like stated, leads to a much safer wash.
