    Duragloss Total Performance Polish

Well folks, I was fortunate enough to be chosen by Autogeek to win a Ron White autographed bottle of Duragloss Total Performance Polish in the giveaway thread and have decided to trade the special bottle to forum member rwright for a "non-special" bottle to be used by me. I was excited to win...

Wheel Cleaning: Experimenting w/different techniques & products

I'm not sure if AG sells the foaming sprayer head for Griot's products, but I'd imagine that it would add to the "dwell" time for any of these products, as it should, in theory, make the product less prone to initial running. It's a product I have my eye on to test with the GG Wheel Cleaner.

    BOGO Question!!!

DP Sealant is pretty awesome, though I don't have a whole lot to compare it to at this point. I've had a coat of it on my car for about 7 months now and it still beads well, but the "shimmer" has diminished enough that I'm going to brave the cooler temps this weekend and do it again. I'd most...

    1st purchase - missing anything?

If you get clay, you'll need something to use as a clay lube. There are lots and lots of options available, but you may want to check out a rinseless/waterless wash option to use. You can dilute the product at different ratios and get several products out of one bottle. Many people use...

Duragloss Giveaway - Personally signed by Ron White!

My father-in-law turned me on to the Duragloss Glass Polish several years ago for the back window of my wife's Pathfinder. Even by hand, it took the waterspots out with pretty minimal effort. If the rest of their products work that well, I'm hooked.

    Door Handle and Tire Cleaning

Re: door locks - get a good round boar's hair brush like the one linked below. There are different sets out there if you want numerous brushes for different applications. I use a large diameter brush for wheels, a slightly smaller brush for the grills on my cars and around nooks, door jambs...

Just finished polishing my car, man I am beat...

It's possible, especially once you have all the really hard work out of the way the first time. It's a whole lot easier to keep the vehicle looking great than it is to get it that way after 10+ years. The key is proper maintenance and care in between full corrections. Sound washing and drying...

    Wheel Clay

I've seen a few dedicated wheel clays out there, and was wondering if there are any real differences between those specifically marketed for wheels or if any "regular" clay can be used on a dirty wheel. I'm going to pull the wheels off my wife's Honda this spring and give them a good cleaning...

Giveaway! Personally signed by Richard Griot!

Ok, I'm normally quite handy at this internet thing, but I can't figure out a way to edit my previous post to add pics, so I'll have to post again...sorry. Don't mind the towels in the background, those are old bath towels that I take out on the golf course. Here's my emergency kit in a GG...

Giveaway! Personally signed by Richard Griot!

Sure wish I had noticed this before I started working this afternoon...I used some Griot's car wash solution that I had on hand in my Griot's wash bucket with a Griot's sheepskin wash mitt. I cleaned my wheels with some Griot's Wheel Cleaner and tires with Griot's Rubber Cleaner and followed...

    Griot's weatherproof tire gel?

I've been using their Long Lasting Tire Dressing for a while. It's a nice, semi-matte sheen that really does last a while. Even after scrubbing the tires down several times, they still have a deep black color, though not as "shiny" as when initially applied. I put it on with a foam applicator...

    Most missed spots?

I've yet to get my Mustang rear window completely clean. I'm pretty sure I could wipe it down daily and still have streaks and film.

    Cobra Indigo Towel Resolution

For anyone who purchased one of the kits above and received the defective towels, would they be entitled to a replacement as well? I ask because I bought the clay kit on New Year's Day and the bad indigos were included in the shipment.

    What are your favorite bottles?

I've broken 2 of the Griot's sprayers in the last year. They were brand new. I've had 3 or 4 others for at least 4 years - they were taller and seemed to have a better "pattern" or stream. I'm hoping that I just got a defective lot. If I break another, I'll just replace them all with...
