    RIP Mr. Miyagi

Wow, I almost didn't continue with the thread because the pic wasn't there, but WOW! after getting to page 2 it was oh so worth it. That has gotta be rough (but somewhat comical) to look at every day. That trim really scares me, that wax might never come off of it.

6 Figure Detailing Free Webinar Interest

Cool, will people be able to watch it after the fact if they can't get to a computer in the middle of the day. I'd love to hear what you have to say, but not a ton of free time this time of the year. A recording would be awesome!

What do you "use" to listen to music?

Love this! Radio is good, especially classic rock while detailing, but most of the time since I'm at a customers house, I'll listen to detailing or business podcasts on my iPhone using my bluetooth headset, which as a bonus, makes answering the phone seamless.

    How do you define yourself?

To be brief, you're a business and they want to use the services you provide. If they ask for a quote, more often than not, you should probably give them one. Just make sure that you'll be happy with the work, given the quote. If you quoted the $100 and he took the offer, will you be happy...

Need honest feedback, harsh or nice, on my Detailing Packages

I think it's good and things sound right, but I'm a detailer and know all the lingo. Your average customer has no idea what nanoskin is (they may not even know what clay is) and probably have no idea what a ph neutral cleaner is or why you'd use it. There's s few other places where it's a little...

After 3 months of being in business

+1 Exact same process here. Unless unforeseen circumstances cause me to have to switch it up, this always works best for me. If I'm only doing a wash on the exterior, I'll do that last instead of first.

    Tire/wheel storage

Thanks guys! I'll definitely look into making sure all licenses and insurance stuff will be taken care of first, hopefully it's not too crazy, but you guys are making me a little nervous. I guess that's just the times we live in. Sounds like I probably would have liked those "good 'ol days"

    Tire/wheel storage

So, I'm looking to rent my first fixed location shop for my detailing business, and all the options I'm coming across are much larger than what I really need. I came up with the idea of utilizing part of the space to store tires and/or wheels and charge a fee to do so to offset the rent (and...

Anyone here know about Envi On Demand?

Interesting world how these companies start up, where there's a need... Most people like clean cars, and if you live in a city, this could be a huge opportunity. Who knows where it will go? Waterless washes are the way of the future IMO especially for city dwelling vehicles. In a kind of...

Sticky request: marketing techniques and walk-through's.

There are a ton of great resources in these threads, and like Ryan said, it's busy season and this sub-forum usually seems a little slower in the summer months because of that. Guys usually chime in, don't get discouraged and negative so quickly and you'll have better luck hearing back from...

    My dream car

Detailed a blacked out one a couple months ago (didn't have the shaker option) but dang you could feel the power just in the parking lot. Pretty sick car.

Ideas for Apps/Software/Company that would help professional detailers..

Yeah, that's because it seems like this forum is more geered toward enthusiasts who take care of their cars themselves along with friends and family cars. There are some guys with shops and all but few and far between on here. There's definitely a ton of amazing and helpful info on here, don't...

Ideas for Apps/Software/Company that would help professional detailers..

Sorry to hear that your having difficulties scaling the actual detailing side of things; I think you can do it, just give it time, I would guess it needs time to really get to the point you want it, especially since I think I remember Stanton being a smaller city. As for scaling different...
