    New Shop...Need Advice

It's been a long process, but it's finally official and things are coming together. I recently signed my first lease for my first detailing shop after being strictly mobile for ten years. :awesome: I'm super stocked. It's a brand new construction and I should be able to take occupancy sometime...

    Starting LLC process today

If you have insurance on the business, that covers all of that as well. No?

    Starting LLC process today

Insurance is interesting in how much it can range from company to company, some time and effort at the beginning is definitely worth it in the long run. Are you gonna be working out of a shop or doing it mobile? When do you plan on starting? Just out of curiosity, how come you decided to go...

    Express detail problem

Excellent advice!! :xyxthumbs: I don't even have anything but a full interior detail (minus carpet shampoo) listed on my site as on option. If I'm detailing the interior of a car, I'm doing it all and will discuss in-depth shampooing/steam cleaning after seeing the car. If I get there and the...

    Choosing a detailer

Careful when choosing based on price alone.....you get what you pay for. Make sure to ask questions and see pictures of their work.

    People are funny...

It was an odd situation, and honestly, there wasn't an ounce in me that really wanted to back and do the job, so I was completely fine with the outcome of the conversation. huh, not my thoughts at all, I love the fact that my business is the sole provider for my family. It keeps me going for...

    People are funny...

I was out working at a job this morning in the middle of nowhere at a mobile home (sometimes I wonder how these people find me and how they decide they have the money to pay for a detailer). The neighbor drives by in his mid '90's F-150 that doesn't look likes in been washed in years and...

    New detailing vehicle

Wow!!!! That's awesome! I love it!! My HHR is similar sized (although nowhere near the character) so I'd love to see how your interior setup is. It's not ideal in smaller cargo vans like this, but definitely doable. Absolutely awesome!!!

Cleaning up the garage a bit and figured I'd try and clean up some of what I've got as I'm narrowing down some of my stock. Let me know if anything interests you; I'll probably give most of the stuff away as I've just simply got too much. Have: - Carrand 94005AS Auto Spa Bagless Vacuum - Been...

6 Figure Detailing Free Webinar Interest

Very true! Many have pointed out all the negatives, but it's also possible that he does actually have a detailing business (although I'll admit that it's weird he doesn't have a phone number on his site) and he was trying to find another revenue stream for his business while helping guys out in...

    Blog on your site?

How many of you guys have a blog on your site? I'm considering entering the world of blogging (not wanting to be limited to detailing) and figured why not start with what I do every day and have a passion for and then see where it grows from there. For those of you that do, do you feel like...

6 Figure Detailing Free Webinar Interest

I listened while I detailed and will agree, no earth shattering information, but to be honest I wasn't really expecting too much. I figured there would be some sort of sales pitch involved. If you are brand new in the business or just thinking about entering, then there was probably some...

    GarageKeepers Insurance

Thanks, that's good advice. I will definitely take this advice and try to use it to really see the differences. I should be signing my lease by late this week/early next week, and then after that's official, I can get really serious about these quotes and get one nailed down. Not really any...

6 Figure Detailing Free Webinar Register

Signed up today too hoping for a recorded version, but just realized that I'll be able to listen over the GoToWebinar app on my phone, so instead of listening to a podcast while working tomorrow, I'll be listening to this. Excited to hear what you have to say and learn any business tips from...

    GarageKeepers Insurance

Thanks, that is helpful, although both quotes are with local agents with local offices that I can go in and speak to directly if need be (something I wanted to be sure was an option) so that part is wash. Thanks for the advice though!

    GarageKeepers Insurance

So I'm in the process of getting some stuff nailed down for the new shop and looking into insurance. I've read a ton on here and got some good info from different threads. I narrowed my search down to StateFarm (a ton of guys on here seem to use them) and American Family Insurance (my old...
