    Collinite 476s after 5 months

I have a healthy coating of 476 on my MINI that I put on before winter. The snow has slid off with all the dirt and my wife asked when I washed the car. I had to show her the dirty streaks on the front of the white roof.

    Wolfgang vs. Pinnacle

One other thing I noticed on the XMT series product descriptions: "All XMT Series products are formulated in Florida, the home of Pinnacle Natural Brilliance. Intense heat and humidity are constant challenges here. That’s why all XMT products are created to work as promised in the sun or shade."

What's the best practice for cleaning on the fly?

I'm curious about the ideal technique for using terry cloth and grabbing the DA's pad. Every time I do it, I feel like I'm just shaking my hand. There's little to no relative movement between the pad and the towel. I almost feel like doing a single section pass on the towel would be better.

TUF SHINE Black Restore Kit (Rayview)

Where'd you see the "for life" part? I was looking at the product page and Ray's Rayview and didn't see that claim. .... Actually I just went to the Tuf Shine website and it says right on the product's page that it will "permanently revitalize older, weathered looking surfaces." TUF SHINE...

    SON1C Synopsis 21 : Chemical Guys - AllClean+ Review

I was using some AllClean+ today to try to remove some unknown gunk from the dead pedal of my miata before it gets shipped off to its new owner. I tired to let it sit for a while and soak off the mystery goo but found that Optimum Power Clean was able to dissolve it better. I could actually...

Griot's Garage Paint Glaze is on BOGO... how is it?

Was looking at glazes for daily driver maintenance to avoid trying to keep up with real life by polishing away clearcoat on a non-garaged car. I saw positive comments about the Glossworkz Glaze from PB and Sonax, but then today I see the Griot's stuff pop up on BOGO and I'm wondering if...

Amount of Microns in a Mil?

I take it back. I just rechecked the section and I had misread. I thought you said 2.01 mils was one ten thousandth of a mm instead of ".01 mils" was. Maybe the proximity of the solitary "1" to the margin made me miss it. Sorry Mike! Matt

Amount of Microns in a Mil?

Mike, I forget what page of your book it's on, but there was some talk of paint thicknesses and mils and / or microns. Do you know the section and have anything to confess? Matt

my first experience with Collinite 476s and 915

agree totally. I did a coat of 476 with a DA and it went on easy. I removed it with microfiber bonnets and it came off just as easily. The best part is, you don't have to limit yourself to super thin coats with this method. You just might need more removal bonnets if you go too thick.

    Review: CarPro PERL

Yeah I'm not sure what others experience. I just had the same issue on two vehicles. The dash looks great but the window, especially around the bottom edge, got a lot on it when I sprayed it. I wasn't afraid of the razor blade because here in VA we have stickers stuck on the inside of the...

    Daytonna brush ANNOYING splatter!

maybe you could attach a large disk to the hilt between the brush and handle. might make it more cumbersome, but would block you from a lot of the splatter. Or maybe stand to the side when you pull it out of holes. I feel your pain though. I ruined a good shirt using that thing.
