    Beginner Kit, need advice.

Thank you. Are you recommending the Sf4000 for light swirl removal and polishing on the ceramic paint? Thanks

    Beginner Kit, need advice.

I recently purchase my first kit. After prepping a vehicle and doing a test on the hood, I realized I'm missing a few things. Below is what I have: 5 Gallon Buckets Grit Guards ONR Meg's D103 (APC+) Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner ClayMagic Blue Clay Iron X Meg's M105 Meg's M205 CG...

What to top CG Blacklight with?

Seems to me that it's more of a LSP. I'd put it on after Blacklight. Collinite Super DoubleCoat Auto Wax #476 Includes Two FREE Wax Applicators!

What to top CG Blacklight with?

You're wanting to put a Carnauba on the paint, then BL, then more Carnauba?

What to top CG Blacklight with?

Having recently bought my first DA polisher and kit, I'd rather not buy all of the above for testing. I'd like a solid recommendation, but everyone has a different preference that is all over the place

What to top CG Blacklight with?

I've done a lot of reading and I'm still stumped as to what to top it with. I've had the following thoughts, only to be swayed by another opinion: BL + Pete's 53 + V7 BL + JetSeal BL + Collinite 845 BL + V7 My primary concern is what to use as a sealant. I gather than any of the Carnauba...

What to top CG Blacklight with?

In my n00b status, I thought that Blacklight was my LSP. I'm beginning to think that I was wrong. I laid this down on a test hood this weekend after M105/M205 and it looks great! However, I am questioning its durability. I've read a bit about using a Caranuba wax then V7. What are your...

    Trouble Working M105

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking that as well, but it sounds like sandwiching a 'nuba in between may be beneficial as well???

    Trouble Working M105

You're right...more or less I've never let a car of mine get in this bad of shape, lol! FWIW, I also found this thread somewhat helpful - http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/tricks-tips-techniques/24303-kevin-brown-method-few-other-things-explained.html Does anyone have any comments on using...

    Trouble Working M105

Honestly, it looked pretty good after the IPA wipedown. Just really brought out the rock chips :props:. I'll see if I can find some UC locally, but I will likely just have to prime it with 105. I will probably strip the hood and do a properly primed orange LC with 105 again.

    Is it this one? http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/tricks-tips-techniques/37277-priming-your-pad-when-working-hand.html

    Trouble Working M105

To prime the pad I gave it a spray of ONR Clay Lube and rubbed in 3 pea sized drops in to the pad. I think part of the issue is I had expectations of working it for 6 passes. If 4 will do the trick, then I'm fine with that! You're right about it 'balling' up.

    Trouble Working M105

Thanks for the input. I forgot to mention that removing it was quite the chore. I added a spritz of water for removal, but took the rest off with the M205.

    Trouble Working M105

I broke my proverbial da polishing cherry this weekend with my new 7424XP. I was working on my abused black paint. After a thorough Iron-X and claybar prep I started working the hood. Below are the items used: Porter Cable 7424XP M105 on Lake Country yellow pad M205 on Lake Country white...
