Problem with new Grit Guard Pad Washer - Is it me?

Hi Mike: I had a chance to try the "Interface Ideatm" today and it worked well. I was able to clean the pads faster and easier. Using the 3 interface pads together in a stack allowed me to have the pad that needed to be clean go 1.75" deeper into the washer, which made all the difference. I...

Do I need sealant on top of Liquid Souveran?

Thanks to all for the education and advice; it's greatly appreciated. I'll save the P808 to use with the UHS system.

Do I need sealant on top of Liquid Souveran?

Planning to do my quarterly protection regimen in a month on my daily driven, not garaged, Arizona, gray 2013 BMW. In July, I clayed and used 3D Speed which left the car with a deep, rich shine that's held up pretty well. After washes I've been using CG's VO7 spray detailer which has been good...

1997 Camaro Z28 brought back to life

Great to see that you really cherry-picked the best products (meaning, they work the best for you) to use on this project. I expect you went through a lot of trial and error to get to that product mix.

    Paint thickness gauge

AGO suggested some similar threads to me (much better than my own searching!) so I am good to go on this topic. I have all the info I need. No need to reply.

    Paint thickness gauge

I only detail my own cars and those of a few friends. Since my current car was six years old when I bought it a year ago as the third owner, I have no idea how the paint was cared for or possibly corrected, I'm thinking that a pain thickness gauge would be a good tool to have for my own car and...

Dumb question about Rupes foam pad prep - how often?

I'm new to the Rupes world but enjoying everything about this system. I understand how to prep the foam pads before first use. However, I'm not sure if I do that prep before every session, or just the very first time I use a new pad. In other words, do used pads need to be prepped? I'm a...

I know nothing about lighting. Are these bulbs worth it?

To close the loop on this thread, I wound up buying these bulbs because I liked the form factor better than the corn-style. I thought they would work better in my two-horizontal-bulb fixture. The light output is crazy at 4000 lumens each, and I like the 5000k temperature as its close to...

Before I try it, how good is UHS at removing swirls and oxidation

I bought the UHS system (with a 21 Mk II) but won't have a chance to use it for a week or so. If you've used it, how good is UHS at removing typical car wash swirls and oxidation? I want to have the proper backup if my test spot indicates I need something more aggressive, like Quarz or Zephir...

    One-Step Polish/Wax

Another vote for HD Speed. I get 3-4 months of durability on a daily driver, not garaged, in the AZ heat with 105+ for 6 months of the year.

Problem with new Grit Guard Pad Washer - Is it me?

I have to say, that even with the not-as-expected experience I had as a first-timer, it was a vastly superior experience to spending 10 minutes hunched over my kitchen sink scrubbing with a pad cleaning brush and inhaling cleaning solution fumes.

Was that video from The Rag Company? They just did a comparison on 4 approaches to water spot removal.
