    Interior Project Preview/Primer

Love it, out of the way on the wall. IF I need to get to a car outside. I just unhook it and walk it over. IF he car is inside the garage, I do not need to do anything special. Room is at a premium at my house so it works.

    Interior Project Preview/Primer

Recently I got my large order of Meguiar Products. Most of these items you can get online only. More reviews to come but this one was one of the most important products I needed for interiors and stains removal. Meguair's All Purpose Cleaner Plus (APC+) :dblthumb2: Using Filtered Water I...

    Swirl Finder Lights

Were I work on a car I will not have 5 ft behind me to stick a Halogen stand which would be killer but just not feasible. Brinkmann Swirl Finder Light, Brinkmann Maxfire Dual Xenon Rechargeable Spotlight I was looking at this light and I have heard good things. They also sell a Dual light...

    Microfiber size?

Agreed, I only like the LARGE towels for drying purpous once I go over the car with a water blade (carefully). Makes the job so much easier.

What determines a pads cutting ability?

^ Agreed, I do heavy research and not only the chemical/pad combo makes a difference. Speed and pressure can as well. Thats why its always good to do a test spot and also practice if your using a new product, a new company, or on a paint you have never worked with before. One size does not...

Use Ultimate Quik Wax, or Optimum Spray Wax or not?

I used UQW all the time. I saw your post on the Meguair's site and let me tell you this stuff is killer for a booster. I always vote to have a actual wax layer or 2, and top with the UQW. Since your doing swirl removal, it should be fine for now but as soon as you correct the paint. Time to...

    Brake dust help.....

Looks pitted to me too. I have used stuff like Bleech White and I have gotten A LOT of out Painted, Machine Finished, and Chrome rims. I would not use it on anything polished for fear of staining. I did work on a set of polished CCW rims where the brake dust was so bad, I could not do it in a...

    How much pressure?

As far as pressure. I use almost none. My 9227c has some weight and I let that work for me. What I do is Lay pad flat, #2 setting or 1 click under, before pulling the trigger. I turn my right wrist ever so slightly (like cracking a throttle), and use my left on the hoop to guide it and I go...

    Drive-thru Car Washes

CT right here and I totally understand. I could wash at my house but risk the water turning into un needed Ice on the steep hill of a drive way that I have.

whats the best sealant and wax

Best is a subjective term as you see about. It is about what works best for you. I have been using NXT 2.0 for Sealant and topping it with Meguiar's #26 Hitech Yellow. I have had excellent results with this combo and its something you can get in the auto parts store commonly.

    Polishing Clearcoated GM wheels

If the Rim is clear coated, you need to STRIP the rim of that said clear coat and then polish and either have it re coated or just keep up on the polishing/waxing. As long as you have not damaged the coating, the best thing you can do is keep it clean and washed regularly. Every so many months...

how long to add sealant then wax?

I will mention that it ALSO depends on the Manufacture's Recommondation. Some allow sealant on top of a Glaze because it was designed that way. From what I read, most Manufacture recommend with their product that the surface be absolutely clean and spotless, Water/Alky wipe down ect ect. Also...

'10 Camaro SS - Terrible 9k Mile Car

Man, some people just don't learn. If you care about a car, especially a dark colored one, do it your self right to take it to someone who does actually care.

The BSMachine's Detail of Formula413's Ride

Well let me say it is always good to see Alex. I have not in nearly a year due to not be able to get to the track but he made trip down from Western Mass to be here for 7 AM, what a trooper. This was a Exterior only w/ Door Jambs and Tires. It was very fun to work on a LT1 Body style and more...

    Recommondations on Foam Pad 8"

Ok, that was my next question, even though grey is a finishing pad or as they describe it has no ability to level or correct, the slightly abrasive M205 will still correct. Cleaner Glazes like M07 (Show Car) would be an ideal match with the grey pad.
