    Ipa w/clay bar damage?

Thanks for all of the feedback. I may have to change my waxing routine. I was under the impression it was standard to clay bar a vehicle entirely after a wash if waxing. It sounds like this would be doing more harm than good? Do you clay the entire car, polish and wax? Or will you just wash and...

    Ipa w/clay bar damage?

I found a solution for ipa on here for taking off unwanted wax. I was clay baring a car, and had some areas that were stubborn. I tried using the ipa instead of the clay lube which did remove a better part of the stubborn areas. Those areas were then dull and showed fine scratches in the pattern...

    Headlight Restoration- Attempted, need help

Water that sounds good, much cheaper. Should I be concerned with the UV protectant coming off? Does the sandpaper come in wet/dry or any sandpaper will do? Where do you usually find the paper?

    Headlight Restoration- Attempted, need help

That is what I meant to say. However the sponges I used were only labeled by the package. I assumed they had markings on each and I got the two mixed up. Would there be an easy way to tell which is which?

    Headlight Restoration- Attempted, need help

I attempted to restore headlights on a 04' Honda Accord. The lights were cloudy and showing some yellow haze. This was my process: 1) Cleaned w/glass cleaner 2) Masked off around headlights 3) 1500 grit wet/sand sponge w/DP clay lube (maybe for 2-3mins), then wiped clean 4) 1000 grit wet/sand...

    Truck/car cover- good/bad idea?

Seeking info on using a truck cover for my 4 door 07' ram 1500 shortbox. The truck would be covered outdoors and during all seasons when not in use. (including full-winter weather) is this a good idea? How much does a quality cover cost? Any paticular mfg. To look for?

I finally tackled this project. There were many areas I needed to tape. It took me around 7-8 hrs total. Some of the spider-webbing was corrected. The paint has more depth and shine/gloss has been restored.I used the 205/105 combo with orange and white pads. There are stray scratch marks (not...

    07' Dodge Ram

I waited almost a month after I received all of my supplies before I started my project. I was waiting to have full access of a friends garage. In the meantime it allowed me to pickup tips and learn from forum members. With the size of our trucks it does take a good deal of time and effort to...

    07' Dodge Ram

I started in the middle of the afternoon and worked until around 12am. By then I only had to apply wax, take off the tape, detail/finish. This was my first time doing any buffing to any vehicle, so I'm sure more experienced buffers could do it more efficiently. Which truck forums do you belong...

DARK HORSE- Thanks for the kind words. I think after doing the truck just about any other vehicle will seem easy. Your truck looks like a mirror. How often do you buff/wax yours?

    07' Dodge Ram

Yesterday, about 2 1/2 weeks after my truck buffing project I finally hand-washed the truck. It was amazing drying off the truck, the water came off like never before. The spider webbing has certainly improved and it has a deep mirror finish now. I even was able to improve the scratches that...

    07' Dodge Ram

WOW, thanks for the tip. This was not only cheap but easy to work with. I applied onto the microfiber towel then blotted onto the trim. (I was afraid of potentially doing damage to the paint) Do you have to be careful of over-spraying onto the paint? I have used Mothers back to black, and was...
