    How Much Polish to Use?

Just picked up Menzerna SIP and Nano, and some 5.5" pads for my G110, and was just wondering how much polish to use on a panel, say, the size of half a hood. Would an X across the pad be too much?

    Cleaning tire shine applicators

XMT Pad cleaner is great at removing excess product, if you like reusing applicators. Just did 8 tires today, and it hardly shows any kind of wear.

    Applying wax

I apply sealant by PC because I seem to get a more even coat that way, and then buff off by hand. I apply paste waxes by hand though.

    After wet sanding

I'd use: Meguiar's M105 Menzerna SIP Menserna Nano in that order. If you want to go with something cheaper though, just start with some kind of compound, then an aggressive polish, then a finishing polish. A PC can get the whole job done, but it'll take a LOT longer.

    Menzerna Finishing Glaze

That sounds more like a finishing polish than a glaze. I figure in my next purchase I'll get some Menzerna SIP and Nano polishes. Thanks for the help guys!

    Menzerna Finishing Glaze

I bought the finishing glaze because if the P203 didn't finish out as nicely as Menzerna says it does, I could apply the glaze to fill in the slight amount of haze temporarily, and then pick up a proper finishing polish at a later date. I didn't want to spend $50 on Menzerna Nano polish just...

    Menzerna Finishing Glaze

What I've heard is that sealants stick better to a clean, dry surface than one that's covered in oils and fillers. I guess I'll just experiment with it and try to find out if the sealant adheres well with the glaze.

    Menzerna Finishing Glaze

I was curious about Menzerna Finishing Glaze, so I threw a bottle into my last order, and had a couple questions about it. I've been reading up on glazes in general, and I've been hearing that sealants don't adhere very well after using a glaze. My process was going to be: Menzerna Power...

$200 Gift Certificate for a New Detailer...What to Buy?

I'm pretty sure the 20% off can't be used on buffers or anything like that. I could be wrong though. I completely understand that the Flex is a better tool, but I'm never going to be doing any serious paint correction work, and I'm only detailing to keep my own cars looking clean. I'm never...

$200 Gift Certificate for a New Detailer...What to Buy?

That's kind of what I was thinking. I'd spend about $160 for the Porter Cable, and next year I might turn around and get the Flex. Looks like I was also given the $25 bonus gift certificate that came with the $200 one, so now I've got $225 to spend. I may just jump for the Flex.

So one of my Christmas presents this year (got the email a little early, shame on me for looking!) was a $200 Autogeek.net gift certificate. I've been washing and waxing my cars for about a year now, and want to take that next step and get a buffer and some good polish. I've been thinking...
