Pressure washing car but it is still not clean

You need friction to remove that layer left behind after using a pressure washer. I have the same issue, and so far the only way I've been able to remove that layer is to just go over the vehicle with Optimum No Rinse and a good microfiber sponge. I'm sure regular car wash soap will work as...

    Waterless

The best waterless wash I have used is griots garage spray on car wash. Before I started following online forums I ordered the griots from a catalog and used it on my car in my apt parking lot. That stuff cuts through tree sap like it was nothing. I parked under a tree in early spring and the...

    Collinite 845...I'm a believer

My collinite is still beading after 6 months. Going that long without detailing is no fun but its nice to have the protection from road salt. Anyone have durability results for summertime with collinite?

    Best Winter Sealant Durability?

Here's a thread bump to once again say that my single coat of collinite 476s is still going strong. It was applied during the last week of september. 6 months have gone by and the water beads no less than when it was applied. I'm not sure when my first wash and wax of 2011 will be but I plan to...

    Best Winter Sealant Durability?

1 coat of Collinite 476 lasted me all of last Fall, Winter and into the Spring. I never washed or did anything to my car for that entire period of time. After the 2 feet of snow from the blizzard months after that application of 476 my car was beading water like crazy as if I had been keeping it...

Debuting at Autogeek.net- Sonax Car Care

I saw Sonax products at a bargain outlet store and got some of their windshield wash concentrate for 99 cents. It's the best stuff I've ever used in my windshield washer tank. I hadn't heard of the brand but if it's good enough to be on AutoGeek then I think it'll be great.

PR: Optimum Car Wax 17 oz

I posted a review here a few months ago about OCW. I was using it as my LSP wax for awhile until I realized that in less than 1 month the beading properties disappeared. It's a very easy wax to use and is very slick and glossy but seeing water pooled up all over my roof and hood led me to...

Your Preferred wash mitt and drying towel for rinseless wash?

with a rinseless wash the mitt or sponge you use should be able to hold the dirt away from the paint of your car. I've been using a Carrand MF Max mitt and to dry I've been using a fluffy MF drying towel or a synthetic chamois. One thing I've learned is that while you can dry each panel right...

Will this darn pollen EVER go away?

I've found a great way to keep my car clean without having to actually wash it. First you'll need to make sure you have a very clean coat or two of a good wax, I use OCW. Wash your car and dry it, and every day after that just use a California Car Duster to get all the pollen off, even the...

    Car wash stripped wax?

I took my car through a car wash and it melted the nice red paint on my brake calipers. Now they look like someone used nail polish to touch them up, I'll never do that again.

best wax and polish to use?? for a first timer

I highly recommend Optimum Car Wax. It won't stain your trim, it's wipe in wipe off, it's pretty cheap, and it leaves your paint super slick with a deep shine. I never even considered it as a "real" LSP until I tried it and it really is great.

    OCW & ONRv2 Review

oh I forgot about the first ONR that turned brown over time, I now remember reading some posts about that awhile ago. It's been 24 hours or so since I applied the OCW, and the slickness on my paint is unreal. I was cleaning my windows with some Stoners glass cleaner and I tried to put the...

    OCW & ONRv2 Review

This morning I woke up early excited to try out the Optimum Car Wax and Optimum No Rinse new version that I bought last month. I use 1 bucket with 1 ounce of ONR and 2 gallons of water, my wash media is the Carrand Microfiber MAX Total Clean All Over wash mitt, my drying towel is Carrand...

Should ONR feel slippery or be sudsy when used as a Rinseless Wash?

I have ONR old version and DP Wash & Gloss and I haven't been able to tell the difference between the two besides the smell when it comes to using it. Tomorrow morning I'm going to try the new version of ONR for the first time. If it wasn't for rinseless washes I'd be stuck washing at the local...

Anyone tried the new ONR yet?

on another forum someone posted about the new ONR. They said when you put pressure on your wash media it feels very slick, it seemed to have much more cleaning power and the new smell was strange at first then became very nice. I just ordered some and I just don't know how it's possible for ONR...

    Interesting new wash technique

I personally use my work truck as a test bed for waxes, QD, spray wax and general car care stuff. Just today I did a comparison test during some spare time, 1 half of hood with PB QD+ and the other half with Megs UQW. The drive home in the rain shows both sides beading exactly the same.
