    O hail!

Having grown up in the midwest I cringe at the thought of hail. At least that's one thing we very rarely get in SoCal.

    DA on plastic facias?

I got a workout today on a new dark blue BMW 3 series. It had some swirls of course and some hard clearcoat. Worked my way up to UC which is the strongest thing I had on hand and finally got the vast majority of them out but I was wishing I had some Megs 105. Anyway I was wondering what the...

Win a Copy of Mike Phillips' Book - The Art of Detailing!

Re: Win a Copy of Mike's Book - The Art of Detailing! I have already learned a lot from Mike's postings on AG and his book would be an excellent resource to learn from.

    Suggestions please

The UC should work good for you on a 5.5" LC white pad. 2 or 3 section passes may correct your soft paint but if not the SMAT abrasive UC can be worked more as needed and it does finish down pretty good.

Would really like a customer account page

Thanks flash. My order history shows when I go through the customer service link bit not on the accounts page so I was wondering. I'm still learning how to navigate the site.

Would really like a customer account page

I just registered after finding this thread but it doesn't show past orders that I made by phone. Does it only show online orders?

Good polish for removing clear coat scratches?

+1 on that. Trying to correct paint defects by hand is very labor intensive and frustrating at best. A DA makes all the difference in the world.

    2011 Mustang GT- NightMare!!

Thanks for the advise truckbutt. When I saw your other postings I didn't realize that you had achieved those results with #205. I have some Menz po106fa super finish on the way and I'll use it on a black pad. I sure like the way your mustang turned out and thanks again.

    2011 Mustang GT- NightMare!!

. My '11car Mustang was delivered with some swirls then I got lazy and took it to a good car wash one time. It's covered with swirls now. Since then I got a PC so I know it will be rectified but I created more work for myself by being lazy. I plan on using Menz Power Finish with a LC white...

3 polishes that can tackle anything!!!

Thanks embolism. Menz has so many apparently good polishes it's hard to choose. I'm torn between Super Intensive Polish/PO106FA or Power Finish/PO85RD combos.

3 polishes that can tackle anything!!!

I have read that many forum members use Power Finish as a one step polish. From you experience does it finish down as nice as Super Finish PO106FA?

First Ever - Flex XC 3401, Flex PE-14, Other?

I haven't used a Flex but just got a new PC and Merlin is right that it can be used effectively in about 10 minutes with good results. My teenaged daughters took to it right off as did I. Good job on that black truck Merlin.

    1st PC7424XP Experience

Sorry, I forgot my camera so shame on me I guess. When I do my heavily swirled black Mustang I'll be sure to get some before and after shots to share though.

    1st PC7424XP Experience

I used my new PC 7424XP for the first time today and I love it. Used 5.5" LC white pad to apply Ultimate Compound and LC black pad to apply Megs #26 wax on a pre-ceramic Mercedes after washing and claying it. Other than the deeper chips that were too deep for a paint correction the 11 year old...
