Oops, I almost forgot....use a small piece of wood for a sanding block. If you just sand with your finger or thumb you will likely sand a noticeable depression at the chip.

A crock pot is good for beef stew, chicken, pot roast, chili, you name it. Just start throwing in your favorite meat and veggies and you're set. Only one thing to clean up afterwards too.
I've had pretty good results using UC on a mildly swirled BMW with hard paint too. Glad it worked for you.

Well I don't feel so bad then. I had originally hoped to follow the power finish with 85rd but I soon determined that would be a 2 day project and, as I was using someone else's garage, I didn't have that luxury. Good luck on finishing your's up.
+1. Living in SoCal I don't have to deal with harsh winters and the associated problems but I live in an apartment and can't wash my car there so I do exactly what you suggest and mix up my own soap solution to take.
