Prepping previously coated car for Essence/Reload combo

My truck has very few swirls or scratches. Really has little to no need for correction. I might just go home this evening and do a little test. Thinking about a wash, iron-x, clay job on the hood only which wont take long. Then an orange CCS light cutting pad with DP paint coating prep...

Prepping previously coated car for Essence/Reload combo

Rsurfer, Thanks for reply. I am aware Essence is a polish, but not sure if it would be strong enough to remove the DP paint coating. Or would it even need polished off to begin with? What's your thoughts?

Prepping previously coated car for Essence/Reload combo

Ronkh57, I believe the stated life of the DP paint coating was originally listed as being, "up to 2 years". By the time late fall and early winter gets here it will be over a year and a half since applied. My wild card, is how long have I extended or shortened that protection by applying PNS...

Prepping previously coated car for Essence/Reload combo

My 2015 f150 was prepped and coated with DP Paint Coating about a year ago. I have over the course of the year applied Sonax PNS over the top of the DP paint coating. It still looks great and is holding up well, but I'm a tinkerer who has trouble leaving well enough alone. I acquired some car...

Monsoon Grey Audi SQ5 - Detailed by Lawrence

That baby looks great. Super job. I keep seeing folks using opti-seal on interior plastics. I have quite a bit of opti-seal and ZCS. I gotta give it a try.

    Car Interior needs a cleaning

In lieu of a hot water extractor, I have found hot water, brush, and a powerful shop vac to perform better than the Bissell LGM. However the LGM will certainly make a large improvement. Good luck, and good for you in doing it yourself.

Quick Sonax PNS and BSD question.

Thanks Evan for your response. I'll wait till third wash and probably do a full 2 bucket hand wash with Reset and maybe hit the paint with a little p21s autowash at same time. That'll probably remove the BSD and give the PNS a good base to adhere to. My truck is babied and it doesn't need any...

Quick Sonax PNS and BSD question.

For the last 4 months I have been using these products and love them. I of washed, decontaminated, clayed, and put down PNS. Looked great and as everyone knows the hydrophobic quality is unparalleled. I wash weekly by doing a foam cannon soap up and rinse off, then a quick Megs d114 2 bucket...

    How to remove Cquartz UK?

you would need to polish off the panel. Then do the same prep you did to first apply the product.

Weird coating /oxidazation on ac vents?

Just a weird idea here. Maybe and electric toothbrush and baking soda or some other lightly abrasive product would clear it up some. Don't think you can do much other harm to them at this point.....

E93 Alpine White: BF Wet Diamond Ove Ice plus Natty's Red..paint stained!

It's not gonna hurt it to drive it. It will probably wear off on it's own after 3 or 4 washes with a strong highly concentrated shampoo mixture. Perhaps aid it with a little panel spray down of a bug and tar remover(don't let dry on paint) or even a light dilution of Megs APC or similar. Good...

What's the best product to combat dust and pollen

I don't think slickness is the major factor when it comes to limiting pollen and other issues of this nature. I think a lot has to do with the carriers that disperse the product and whether they are oily or not. To me liquid waxes are some of the worst as far as pollen attractors.. Just my...
