    Interiors: APC vs Dedicated Cleaner

Why would you "top" with Folex? Is the APC not cleaning well enough? I use dedicated cleaners so I don't have to worry about dilutions. I'd never touch leather with 4:1 APC. Folex for most fabrics, megs APC at 10:1 if the plastic is dirty, usually use a quick interior detailer for most...

    D114 as a pre-wash?

The best thing for you to do is just try it out on a test spot and see if it yields the results your looking for and let us know how it worked out for you. If it were me, I'd get a nozzle that has "jet" or equivalent setting and use that to blast off the grim. Chances are if that doesn't do...

    Storing Products

I imagine some are OK to keep outside through all temps, Like APCs, soaps. Nothing that's more of a mixture like polishes, compounds and waxes.

7 Minute Engine Detailing with BLACKFIRE

That would be great! It seems I am missing some other tips/tricks to get an engine bay done that quick. And I've used the AIO from BF.

Pros: What are you using on trim?

Do you like Sonax that much? I didn't care for it. Hard to dispense, felt like I needed a lot of product to cover a small area and didn't have much of a "restore" characteristic. But that might depend on the type of plastic it's used on.

Review - NEW BLACKFIRE All-In-One Trim & Tire Protectant

This one is well worth it. If you're ever in SE MI, I'll hook you up with some. Before you dump them, let me know, I'll pick hem up from you. I drive through mid-MI when going to Alpena every now and then.

What's your least favorite thing to do wile doing a detail?

Exterior: I like doing exteriors, but the parts I like the least are the dripping of water out of the cracks and crevices and door jambs. I actually like doing wheel wells for the after result. Really makes wheels look good. Interior: I hate the whole process of vacuuming.

    My usual PC problem

Have you tried a softer pad? Or finishing with your last pass with very light pressure?

    Need answer FAST !!!

Sealing the paint is more important than all the other steps for a DD. I would make sure you have to time get the paint sealed.

    Dry Me Crazy not drying!

Are you using a drying aid though? I care for my MF the same way you do, except for the oxyclean.

    Dry Me Crazy not drying!

It doesn't sit there long at all. It gets washed right after I'm done washing the vehicle. If the APC soak doesn't work, I'll be doing that! Have nothing to lose. I'll switch to that method if I can't restore it. It's a nice time saver to apply a spray wax while drying. I never use them...

So how do I remove all the previous product from the towel between washes?

    Dry Me Crazy not drying!

Will do. I have it soaking in APC as we speak. Chemical Guys. I also have 3D towel kleen as well. But haven't used it.

    Dry Me Crazy not drying!

Thanks! Ill set it aside and try this. When exactly do you add the vinegar? If it doesn't pan out, my rims need a good one! And do be honest, I'll be disappointed, I didn't get much use out of it for it's price. It worked perfectly the first 20 or so washes. Now that I'm probably closer...

Will boiling it in vinegar remove the wax? I wash it every time to prevent cross contamination between washes. I own more than one in the event I wash more than 1 car in a day.

    Dry Me Crazy not drying!

Yes, it had a mist of spray wax applied to it before drying. It worked like this flawlessly when it was brand new.

Weird question about washing and drying your vehicle.

Sounds like your using WAY to much pressure! I wouldn't worry about warping the panels, I'd worry about scratching them when using that much pressure. It should only take light pressure when washing and drying. If your warping/bending panels, your pressing too hard.

    Dry Me Crazy not drying!

Today, when doing a RW, I needed to swap my drying MF out for a fresh one (I don't usually need to swap it out, but circumstances were different this time). It's been a while since I've needed to use the 2nd one, and after 1 swipe of the hardly used 2nd DMC, I noticed it was absorbing the water...
