I ended up going with the 25-foot cord model of the GG6 because the 6' model was out of stock and I was glad I did. Wrapping up the cord is a bit of a pain but no more than for an extension cord, which I don't need.

Damn, now I'm really tempted to place an order.

MF applicator pads are something I've had on my "maybe buy" list. I'd really like to hear about your results with them. :)

I've had great results with Autosol on my stainless steel mufflers.

QFT. I learned this the first time I used my DA to polish my car...the hard way. Trying to work polish out of foam pads by hand is not my idea of fun. :laughing: Massaging dish soap into the foam pad then rinsing underneath running water ended up working best for me.

Are Wolf's Chemicals that good? Because they're available here from a local retailer but I never considered their stuff before...

You have to wonder how strong the chemicals have to be in an automatic touchless car wash to properly clean your car. The traditional ones with the brushes are nightmare fuel.

I only bust out the APC when DP TIC just won't cut it. I noticed that I had the same problem with a lack of absorption when my MF cloth gets saturated until I changed my technique. I now use a brush to work it in then wipe with a MF, followed by a light spray of water and another wipe to dry...

Oh, I'm sorry. I saw your post via Twitter on my phone and didn't notice this was in the Wolfgang section. It would probably work but it seems kind of wasteful. I'd say you're better off using a diluted APC like Optimum Power Clean or even 303 Aerospace cleaner.

The first time I polished my car with Optimum Polish II, my taping job was a little sloppy so I ended up with some residue on my rubber trim above the windshield and above one door. I actually didn't notice the residue until a couple weeks later and it came came off quite easily...with ONR, no...

DP Total Interior Cleaner can be used on any interior surface except glass.

My car could use them too...:p

I wonder if that residue has any sort of noticeable effect....like a bit of compound left on a pad.

Maybe it's a Lake Country Glass Polishing Pad or Griot's Glass Pad?

Did the stains affect the performance of the pad? Or was it about aesthetics?
